More than $500,000 was guaranteed to be won on Day 5 of the $15 million POWERFEST at partypoker and this meant there would be plenty of huge scores enjoyed by those players lucky and skilful enough to win or go deep in a POWERFEST event.<\/p>\n

Buy-in<\/strong>: $530 Team partypoker\u2019s Roberto \u201cWelshWizard\u201d Romanello<\/strong> may be better known for this proficiency in no-limit hold\u2019em and pot-limit Omaha games, but on January 25th he showed he can mix it up with the best in seven-card stud.<\/p>\n Romanello topped a field of 50 entrants in the $25,000 guaranteed stud event to get his hands on $8,750 and become the second Team partypoker player to become a POWERFEST champion this series after Joao Simao<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Buy-in<\/strong>: $1,050 \u201cbossamtisch1\u201d<\/strong> secured the largest payout of Day 5, banking a cool $40,780 after topping a field of 200 entrants in the POWERFEST #15-H: $150K Gtd NL Hold\u2019em event.<\/p>\n Everyone at the final table was guaranteed $4,600 and this is the sum \u201cwatten01\u201d took home for his eighth-place finish. The prize money had increased to five-figures after \u201cx_zola25\u201d and \u201cjokero19891\u201d bust and by the time it was heads-up, the final duo were battling for $40,780.<\/p>\n It was \u201cbossamtisch1\u201d who emerged victorious, defeating online veteran \u201crdcrsnn\u201d heads-up to resign the runner-up to a still welcomed $29,600 prize.<\/p>\n Buy-in<\/strong>: $530 The POWERFEST #14-H: $100K Gtd 1R1A NL Hold\u2019em<\/strong> event had a start-studded final table where any of the eight players would have made a worthy champion. Two of the finalists, \u201cHeavenlyFather\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cDrulitooo\u201d<\/strong> had already won POWERFEST events. They couldn\u2019t add a second though as they bust in sixth and fifth place for $6,562 and $8,125.<\/p>\n \u201cchazcombes,\u201d<\/strong> a telented British grinder, saw his tournament end in fourth-place and he was the first player to lock up a five-figure prize, namely $11,562. \u201cDoyle_B\u201d<\/strong> fell in third to leave another British pro, \u201cLiftededge,\u201d<\/strong> to take on \u201cSLARVBOGMAJS\u201d<\/strong> for the title.<\/p>\n It was the latter who secured the win ans the $31,250, which happened to be the second-largest cash of the night at partypoker.<\/p>\n Nine more POWERFEST events take place on Friday 26th January and we are expecting some large fields in them.<\/p>\n At 12:00 ET \/ 17:00 GMT \/ 18:00 CET there are three NL Hold\u2019em 6-Max events costing $22, $215 and $2,100 to enter. These have combined guarantees of $370,000. Two hours later, three 6-Max turbo pot limit Omaha tournaments, with combined guaranteed prize pools of $75,000.
