Another nine events took place on the second day of the $15 million guaranteed POWERFEST<\/strong><\/a> at partypoker and all nine tournaments surpassed their guarantees.<\/p>\n

The biggest of these nine events was the POWERFEST #07-H: $150K Gtd No Limit Hold\u2019em<\/strong>, a $2,100 buy-in tournament that saw 83 players take to the felt. Team partypoker was well represented with Roberto Romanello<\/strong><\/a>, Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> and Joao Simao<\/strong><\/a> all buying in, but none of them managed to navigate their way to the final 12 places where prize money starting being awarded.<\/p>\n

Those who did reach the final table locked up $5,810 for their efforts; this is the sum \u201cJHelppi\u201d<\/strong> secured when he fell in eighth-place. The prize money increased steadily with each player\u2019s exit until only \u201cDoyle_B\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cRedDwarf9\u201d<\/strong> remained in the hunt for the title.<\/p>\n

RedDwarf finally defeated Doyle_B and got his hands on $43,990, leaving Doyle_B to claim the $30,710 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

Pot-limit Omaha aficionados flocked to partypoker on January 22nd for a trio of PLO events. The $530 buy-in featured a $100,000 guarantee, which was hit when 216 players made their way to the six-handed tables.<\/p>\n

Twenty-four players receive prize money in this event, including Team partypoker<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s Roberto Romanello who fell in 22nd place for $1,375. Later in the tournament, \u201cBuyThaPot\u201d<\/strong> crashed out in sixth-place for $4,320 and eventually \u201cDrulitooo\u201d<\/strong> found himself heads-up against \u201cFOLDN00B\u201d<\/strong> for the POWERFEST title.<\/p>\n

Drulitooo came out on top and banked a cool $26,899 for his $530 investment.<\/p>\n

POWERFEST Highlights for January 23rd<\/h3>\n

Nine more POWERFEST events are scheduled for January 23rd and there is a nice mix fo different formats.<\/p>\n

The No-Limit Hold\u2019em 6-Max 1R1A<\/strong> tournaments kicks off at 12:00 ET\/17:00 GMT \/ 18:00 CET with $5.50, $55 and $530 buy-ins and combined guarantees of $130,000. Two hours later, you can get involved in $11, $109 and $1,050 buy-in No Limit Hold\u2019em events that will see at least $325,000 on the table.<\/p>\n

Wrapping up Day 3 of the $15 million POWERFEST are a trio of progressive knockout turbo<\/strong> events. These have combined guaranteed of $350,000 for buy-ins of $22, $215 and $2,100, the latter seeing players win at least $1,000 for each opponent they bust from the tournament.<\/p>\n
