One of our regular tweeps is Steven van Zadelhoff.<\/p>\n Huge favorit, he was building his stack up slowly, became the ship leader and then – snap! From huge stack to no stack, Steven was gone from his table.<\/p>\n So close to a huge win, Steven is still waiting for his big hit – 11th in Paris, 13th in Barca, were hoping he will tweet a better result from London. He was a never-ending source of funny faces and regular updates on his Twitter<\/a> so we picked up his last few hands.<\/p>\n “And another big 1. Carl was the short stack, picked up A Q and went all in. Unfortunately for him, Ali Tekintamgac had Q Q and there was no help on the board.<\/p>\n 23.30<\/strong><\/p>\n We have the final table!<\/p>\n 23.05<\/strong><\/p>\n First he picked up a pair of sixes and got involved in a 350k pot against Carl David Hendriksson who held AJ.\u00a0Ace on the flop, Jack on the river, Tristan on the edge.<\/p>\n Not long before that, he answered to short stacked Edgars Strupkas all in on the flop by calling him with 45 off. The flop showed Jx6h7h and Strupka held 9x7x.<\/p>\n The turn came as Tristan held his breath – it was a 9h. Ace on the river left Tristan with only 120k.<\/p>\n 22.55<\/strong><\/p>\n Manuel\u00a0Blaschke, one of the current chipleaders, is a live tournament player from Austria. He is here with his dad and the dad is a poker player as well. He\u00a0actually\u00a0made the final table at a $1,500 side event here in Casino BArcelona while railing on his son! Poker seems to be their family sport.<\/p>\n 22.50<\/strong><\/p>\n Herbert Paul Montalbano is out 12th! Herbert picked up open-ended straight draw on the flop, went all-in but was called by Ali Tekintagmac who flopped three of a kind. 10 on the turn made Ali a full house and Herbert is out winning 12,000 Euro!<\/p>\n 22.25<\/strong><\/p>\n Mads is a big player on PartyPoker, his nickname is brogba84. He won our 300K Sunday Guranteed last Sunday and also made a deal on the final table of our MonthlyMillion for May month.<\/p>\n Impressive!<\/p>\n 21.55<\/strong><\/p>\n Last PartyPoker qualifier Atte\u00a0Koskivirta is out of WPT Spanish Championship!<\/p>\n Manuel Cuberos Lopez, shortstack, went all-in three times in a row. From 60,000, to 80,000 to 100,000. He got called by Atte in his third all-in. Manuel showed Ax9d. Atte had pocket 8’s. Atte was confident he would win the pot but two diamonds on the flop, and two more on turn and river eliminated him.<\/p>\n The diamond flush flushed Atte and the $1,000,000 PartyPoker payout from the WPT.<\/p>\n 21.35<\/strong><\/p>\n Atte-roller-coaster continues. He went from 300,000 down to 3,000 and has now fought his way back to 101,000. Here is an interview with Atte:<\/p>\n \n 21.10<\/strong><\/p>\n Looks like the dinner brought Atte\u00a0Koskivirta\u00a0some bad luck.<\/p>\n Just as he came back from the break, sitting down with his huge stack, he picked up AK and decided to play them. He got involved in a hand against the Spanish movie\u00a0Roberto Garcia Santiago who had a pair of Aces, and even though a King came on the river, Atte lost almost all of his stack.<\/p>\n Being left with only 3k, he did not hesitate – 4 times all in and he is back in the game with over 70k. What a roller-coaster!<\/p>\n 20.50<\/strong><\/p>\n We are at level 20. Antes are 1,000, blinds are 5,000 – 10,000. Average chips 305,625. Last 16 chip counts at the dinner break:<\/p>\n 18.40<\/strong><\/p>\n PartyPoker’s last man standing is\u00a0Atte Koskivirta. He has just eliminated Brunet Frederic and moved up to 300,000 in chips. Brunet went all-in with KJ and Atte called with pocket 9’s. Brunet flopped two pairs but another 9 on turn made Atte three of a kind.<\/p>\n In case that Atte wins the event\u00a0PartyPoker will award him with $500,000 on top of the regular prize pool and $500,000 more will be split between the rest of PartyPoker qualifiers, no matter what place they finished.<\/p>\n 18.00<\/strong><\/p>\n It was Sergio’s first offline tournament experience, and he called it “unique”. He has watched WPT on TV over the years and never thought that he would be playing in one.<\/p>\n He will go watch the Champions League final later tonight to celebrate this great result.<\/p>\n 17.30<\/strong><\/p>\n PartyPoker qualifiers Ben Carpenter and Luka Djumic met\u00a0each other\u00a0for the first time at WPT Barcelona. Interesting is that they knew\u00a0each other\u00a0from PartyPoker tables and had a bit of a fight going on in the table chat. Now they love each other, see the video.<\/p>\n 17.20<\/strong><\/p>\n Under the gun had pocket Kings and opened with a 11,000 bet. Ruben was on the button and pushed all-in holding pocket 10’s. UTH did call and there was no help for Ruben on the board.<\/p>\n This was his first WPT experience, he enjoyed it but is going away a bit sad as he was so close to making the money.<\/p>\n 16.50<\/strong><\/p>\n This was quick! Erik Friberg is the bubble boy!<\/p>\n Mats Iremark raised from the button with JJ, Erik went all-in with A 4 offsuit and got the call. Another J on the flop made Erik the bubble boy.<\/p>\n 16.40<\/strong><\/p>\n It is bubble time! 37 players are left and the next one that goes out will be the unlucky one that goes out with no money while the last 36 players will be secured a minimum of 6300 Euro!<\/p>\n 16.00<\/strong><\/p>\n WPT Spanish Championship prizes are as follows, top 36 will get paid:<\/p>\n 15.40<\/strong><\/p>\n 44 players start the day 3, including chipleader Per Linde and 5th placed Atte Koskivirta, who is the only PartyPoker qualifier left eligible for the $1,000,000 on top of the regular prize pool!<\/p>\n If Atte wins, PartyPoker<\/a> pays an extra $500,000 to him on top of the \u20ac315,000 first prize and 23 qualifying online PartyPoker qualifiers get to share the other $500,000!<\/p>\n Atte said: \u201cI am aware of the position I am sitting in \u2013 I have 23 other people cheering me on and I will do my best for them!\u201d<\/p>\n 15.20 <\/strong><\/p>\n Day 3 in Barcelona is underway!<\/p>\n Day 2<\/p>\n 01.30<\/strong><\/p>\n Per Linde (3rd place in WPT\u00a0Paris\u00a0last week and chip leader at WPT Barcelona after day 3) shows you his 5 tips on how to last long in a poker tournament.<\/p>\n \n 01.00<\/strong><\/p>\n Only one PartyPoker qualifier that is eligible for the $1,000,000 top-up from PartyPoker is left in the game!
