But who were they? Let\u2019s find out in the last recap of this fantastic festival.<\/p>\n<h3>MILLIONS Main Event<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sam Greenwood<\/strong> capped off a stellar week in Punta Cana by winning the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event for a cool $1 million. Greenwood had already finished third in the $10,300 MILLIONS High Roller and was the runner-up in the $25,500 Super High Roller so was already $366,850 to the good coming into the Main Event.<\/p>\n<p>Twelve players returned for the fifth day of the Main Event and they were quickly reduced to 11 when <strong>Michael Malm<\/strong>\u2019s pocket threes didn\u2019t improve against Jonas Gjelstad\u2019s tens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ruben Perceval<\/strong> then crashed out when his <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> was outflopped by the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> of <strong>Udo Erlei<\/strong> before partypoker\u2019s <strong>Jason Koon<\/strong> bust with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> against the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> of Gjelstad. Koon\u2019s exit left only the unofficial nine-handed final table and play remained nine-handed for a while before <strong>Damian Lomza<\/strong> found <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/js.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and pushed all-in for almost 11 big blinds, only to discover <strong>Andrey Shatilov<\/strong> was laying in waiting with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ks.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Dizenzo<\/strong> was the first player to be eliminated from the official final table and he was followed to the rail by Udo Erlei, MILLIONS High Roller winner <strong>Preben Stokkan<\/strong>, and Brazil\u2019s <strong>Felipe Ramos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after the start of the 35th level, Jiri Horak\u2019s <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> lost to the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> in the hand of Shatilov and heads-up was set when Gjelstad shoved 15 big blinds with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/5d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Greenwood called with the dominating <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Neither player improved by the river, Greenwood\u2019s jack-kicker came into play and Gjelstad bust in third-place.<\/p>\n<p>After almost three hours of heads-up play, Greenwood emerged victorious. With the blinds at 6,000,000\/12,000,000, Greenwood raised to 24,000,000 and Shatliov called. A flop reading <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> saw Shatilov check-called a 20,000,000 continuation bet. The turn was the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Shatilov checked. Greenwood bet 100,000,000 and snap-called when Shatilov check-raised all-in for 362,000,000.<\/p>\n<p>Greenwood showed <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Shatilov the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/8c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. Team partypoker\u2019s <strong>Anatoly Filatov<\/strong> and <strong>Kristen Bicknell<\/strong> clashed in a hand where Bicknell held <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/tc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Filatov the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. A king on the flop left Bicknell drawing thin and she couldn\u2019t find any of her outs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aleksejs Meless<\/strong> and <strong>George Richard Tatalovich<\/strong> bust before partypoker\u2019s <strong>Roberto Romanello<\/strong> fell in 21st place. Some big names also crashed out, including <strong>Chris Hunichen<\/strong>, <strong>Conor Beresford<\/strong>, <strong>Tony Cousineau<\/strong>, <strong>Barny Boatman<\/strong>, and <strong>Dylan Linde<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the eight-players at the final table was guaranteed $35,000 and this is the sum that <strong>James Walker<\/strong> got his hands on when his ace-seven lost to Mateos\u2019 ace-nine. Walker was followed to the sidelines by <strong>Bartlomiej Machon<\/strong> and <strong>Marc-Oliver Carpentier-Perrault<\/strong> before Mateos came from behind with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> to cracked the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> of the dangerous <strong>Manig Loeser<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth-place went to the partypoker\u2019s Head of Poker <strong>Tom Waters<\/strong>. Mateos opened to 2,200,000 on the button, Waters three-bet all-in for 15,00,000 in the small blind, Filatov called in the big blind before Mateos folded. Waters held <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/7s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Filatov <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">. The chip lead exchanged hands several times but then Mateos managed to get a grip on things and began pulling away from the partypoker pro.
