Day 5 of the partypokerLIVE 2017 Caribbean Poker Party saw two more champions crowned and the MILLIONS Main Event progress to Day 2.<\/p>\n

MILLIONS Super High Roller<\/h3>\n

Chris Hunichen<\/strong> took down the $25,500 MILLONS Super High Roller, defeating Sam Greenwood<\/strong> heads-up to secure a $400,000 payout.<\/p>\n

Play on the final day began with only six players and the player count was reduced by one when Rafael Moraes<\/strong> opened to 525,000 with during the 125,000\/250,000\/250,000a level. partypoker ambassador Sam Trickett<\/strong> called on the button with and Greenwood called in the small blind with . Steffen Sontheimer<\/strong> then moved all-in for 3,875,000 with and only Trickett called. The board ran to send Sontheimer to the rail.<\/p>\n

The blinds increased to 150,000\/300,000\/300,000a soon after Sontheimer\u2019s demise and the increase of the cost per round left Moraes quite short. He moved all-in for 4,000,000 with and Trickett called with to put Moraes at risk. Trickett flopped two pair as the community cards ran and Moraes was gone.<\/p>\n

Spain\u2019s Adrian Mateos<\/strong>, a three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, moved al-in for 5,850,000 chips (14.6 big blinds) with and Trickett moved all-in over the top with . Hunichen then woke up with in the small blind and called off his 12,750,000 stack. A queen-friendly board reading bust Mateos and left Trickett on fumes.<\/p>\n

Trickett bust when he moved all-in for only 1,150,000 chips with and Hunichen called with . Hunichen paired his queen on the flop and when the turn and river fell and it was game over for Trickett.<\/p>\n

Hunichen held a massive chip lead over Greenwood going into heads-up and it didn\u2019t take long for him to press home his advantage. The final hand saw Hunichen set Greenwood all-in for slightly more than 10 big blinds with and Greenwood called with . The sixes looked like staying the best hand but a cruel run out saw Hunichen improve to a straight with the board reading and the title was his.<\/p>\n

MILLIONS Open Champion Crowned<\/h3>\n

Rainer Kempe<\/p><\/div>\n

Rainer Kempe<\/strong> is $200,000 richer than a few days ago courtesy of the German star winning the $1,100 MILLIONS Open.<\/p>\n

The fourth and final day\u2019s play started with 26 players and ended with Kempe holding the winner\u2019s trophy aloft. A massive hand too place during the 25th level of the tournament, one that eliminated three players.<\/p>\n

Start of the day chip leader Ioannis Angelou-Konstas<\/strong> moved all-in from under the gun, Anastasija Sivaka<\/strong> re-shoved from late position, Claudio Di Giacomo<\/strong> called in the cutoff and Pavel Plesuv<\/strong> called off his stack from the button.<\/p>\n

Konstas held , Sivaka held , Plesuv the powerhouse that is , but Di Giacomo had been dealt . The finalboard read to bust three players and catapult Di Giacomo to 204,000,000 chips.<\/p>\n

By the time the official eight-handed final table was reached, Di Giacomo had increased his stack to 267,000,000 partly due to him finding aces again to bust Paul Michaelis<\/strong> in ninth-place.<\/p>\n

Vincent Tremblay<\/strong> was the first player eliminated from the official final table, his pocket nines proving no match for the in Paul Hockin<\/strong>\u2019s hand, William Blais<\/strong>, Michael Sklenicka<\/strong> and Andrei-Lucian Boghean<\/strong> bust from the tournament.<\/p>\n

The final four became three when New Zealand\u2019s Hockin\u2019s couldn\u2019t get there against Kempe\u2019s dominating and heads-up was set when Manuel Martinez\u2019s lost to the of Di Giacomo with both players flopping a king.<\/p>\n

Heads-up lasted 90-minutes and Kempe showed his class by chipping away at Di Giacomo\u2019s stack. The final hand saw Kempe limp on the button with and call when Di Giacomo raised all-in for 198,000,000 chips, or 24.75 big blinds. The board came into view, Di Giacomo fell in second place and Kempe added another major title to his already impressive poker resume.<\/p>\n

MILLIONS Main Event Day 1b and 1c<\/h3>\n

The final two starting flights of the $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event took place on November 21 with Day 1b attracting 436 entries and Day 1c seeing 20 players take to the felt.<\/p>\n

Russia\u2019s Gleb Tremzin<\/strong> topped the chip counts on Day 1b, bagging up 7,353,000 chips, while Pedro Cavalieri amassing a 7,125,000 stack.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker members Richard Dubini<\/strong> (4,660,000), Roberto Romanello<\/strong> (2,800,000), Joao Simao<\/strong> (2,040,000) and Padraig Parkinson<\/strong> (1,370,000) made it through, but Natalia Breviglieri<\/strong>, Louise Butler<\/strong> and Jason Koon<\/strong> will all need to fire another bullet while late registration is open on Day 2 if they want to become a MILLIONS champion.<\/p>\n

Some of the other big names progressing to Day 2 include Daniel Dvoress<\/strong> (4,889,000), Stephen Chidwick<\/strong> (4,824,000), Tom Middleton<\/strong> (4,374,000), David Peters<\/strong> (3,183,000), Sam Chartier<\/strong> (2,483,000), Mike Leah<\/strong> (1,892,000), Anthony Zinno<\/strong> (1,700,000), Mike Watson<\/strong> (1,489,000) and Bryn Kenney<\/strong> (941,000).<\/p>\n
