The massive field was reduced to only 53 hopefuls by the time Day 3 was reached on Sunday and each of the returning players locked up \u00a33,000.<\/p>\n

The flop gifted Frujinas two pair, but the turn improved Gordonas to a Broadway straight. The fell on the river and Frujinas was gone.<\/p>\n

Fourth-place went to Antonis \u201cThe Enigma\u201d Poulengeris who lost an all-in encounter with Richard King. King and Poulengeris entered a preflop raising war that resulted in King four-bet shoving with and Poulengeris calling with the dominated . A few seconds later, the dealer had spread the board and Poulengeris was heading for the exits.<\/p>\n

Jamie Whyte: Third-place finisher<\/p><\/div>\n

Heads-up was set when the talented Jamie Whyte was sent packing by King. Whyte committed his last 14 big blinds with and King made the call with to put him at risk. A final board reading was of no help to Whyte although the \u00a370,750 he was awarded will go some way to numb the pain of not winning the Grand Prix UK, especially as he qualified for the tournament via a $2.20 satellite on partypoker.<\/p>\n
