Niall Farrell topped a field of 323 entries in the 2016 partypoker WPT Caribbean Main Event to get his hands on the winner\u2019s trophy and $335,000, which includes a $15,000 seat to the WPT Tournament of Champions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

It took 24 hands at the six-handed final table before there was an elimination. Farrell raised to 105,000 from late position with and then called when Stephen Woodhead three-bet all-in for 750,000 from the big blind with the dominated . By the river the board read and Woodhead was gone.<\/p>\n

Twenty-three hands later, Yiannis Liperis moved all-in from the button for 375,000 with and was looked up by Anthony Augustino in the big blind holding . Neither player improved on the board, busting Liperis in fifth place.<\/p>\n

Fourth place went to Colin Moffatt on the 64th hand of the final table. Farrell made it 125,000 to play from the button, Moffatt three-bet all-in for 1,180,000 in total from the big blind, and Farrell called. Moffatt turned over and was against Farrell\u2019s . The flop gifted Moffatt two pair, but the turn improved Farrell to a set of sixes. The completed the board and sent Moffatt to the rail.<\/p>\n

Three-handed play ended with the exit of Augustino at the hands of Farrell. Troy Quenneville folded on the button, Farrell set his sole opponent all-in from the small blind with and Augustino called off his 1,160,000 stack with . Augustino stayed ahead on the flop and remained in front when the arrived on the turn. However, the river saw Farrell\u2019s hand improve to a king-high straight and sent the tournament to the heads-up stage.<\/p>\n

Farrell held a commanding 8,130,000 (102 big blinds) to 1,550,000 (19 big blinds) lead over Quenneville going into the one-on-one battle, and it only took one hand to settle matters.<\/p>\n

From the button, Farrell moved all-in with and Quenneville called with . The dealer spread the board onto the felt, Quenneville bust, and Farrell was crowned the 2016 partypoker WPT Caribbean champion.<\/p>\n
