Germany\u2019s Leo Tran<\/strong> secured by far the largest tournament cash of his career to date after he topped a field of 339 players in the 2016 partypoker WPT National Rozvadov Main Event<\/strong> to get his hands on a cool \u20ac75,000.<\/p>\n

Prior to this outstanding victory, Tran had a solitary cash on his Hendon Mob page, a 49th place finish in a \u20ac300 buy-in event in Vienna in May 2016 that banked him \u20ac1,600. Now he has a brace of live cashes, and one that any poker player in the world would be proud of.<\/p>\n

Over the two starting flights, and the Day 2, the 339 strong field was reduced to a more manageable 19 players, and three of those were competing in the partypoker last-longer promotion where the deepest running player would win their \u20ac1,100 buy-in back.<\/p>\n

Istvan Nagy<\/strong> was one of those last-longer players, but he fell in 16th place, leaving Velican Sahin<\/strong> and Patrick Marquardt<\/strong> to compete for the \u20ac1,100 refund. Sahin then fell in 13th place, meaning when Marquardt bust in 10th place for \u20ac5,315, he also received an additional \u20ac1,100.<\/p>\n

Each of the nine finalists locked up at least \u20ac7,295 for their efforts, but Vitezslav Pesta<\/strong> would win no more as he fell in ninth-place, and was followed towards the cashier\u2019s desk by Shay Vodka<\/strong>, Patrick Beuter<\/strong>, Markus Hofer<\/strong>, and Itay Bernshtein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The players still in contention for the title gained some more elbow room with the exits of Daniel Schumacher<\/strong> and JC Streicher<\/strong>, the latter\u2019s exit leaving Leo Harmjan<\/strong> and Tran to lock horns heads-up.<\/p>\n

It was a one-on-one battle that went Tran\u2019s way, with the final hand seeing Tran\u2019s beat Harmjan\u2019s to secure the title and the \u20ac75,000 first place prize.<\/p>\n
