Several hours later, this field was whittled to a much more manageable final table of nine, a final table that homed, among other, Nathan Farnaby, who you may recall won GPPT Newcastle a few weeks ago.

Sadly for Farnaby, he was the first casualty of the final table, thus ending any hopes of back-to-back victories. Franaby’s exit came when Daniel Oakley opened to 270,000 with , Farnaby three-bet all-in for just over 1,000,000 with , and Oakley called. Redmond pushed all-in with [Ax][8x], Evans looked him up with [7x][7x], which held to send Redmond to the showers.

The final table grew less shark infested with the elimination of Waheed “Wadey” Ashraf in seventh place. Ashraf, a regular at Dusk Till Dawn, found himself all-in after a preflop raising war with Evans. Ashraf looked to be in great shape for a double-up, his up against . Evan made a continuation bet of 1,500,000 on the flop, Kent folded, meaning the cards of Evans () and the all-in Ventre () were revealed.
