\u201cThe event was the best competition I\u2019ve ever played.\u201d Those are the words of Nottingham\u2019s Adam Bone who in the early hours of Monday 12 October, 2015, emerged victorious in individual element of the partypoker UK Team Challenge at Dusk Till Dawn.<\/p>\n

Twenty-eight year old Bone, a director at advertising agency AM Media, outlasted 338 opponents in the live final to get his hands on \u00a32,250 and help push his team, \u201cRandoms,\u201d to a fourth place finish in the team element, a finish that banked the four friends \u00a33,000 to share between them.<\/p>\n

The victory rounds off a remarkable few weeks for Bone who finished fourth in a \u00a350+\u00a38 buy-in tournament on September 22, eighth in a \u00a330+\u00a35 buy-in event on September 30, both at Dusk Till Dawn.<\/p>\n

The final table got underway with nine players and thanks to how the points were distributed one of three teams could have walked away with the \u00a312,000 first place prize in the team element.<\/p>\n

One team that was still in with a chance of glory as The Ninja Turtles, but they needed Tom Simm to finish seventh or better in order to pip Nits&Natter to the finishing post. However, Simm went into the final with a short stack and with the odds stacked against him and his fellow turtles. He committed the last of chips with and was called by Hasmukh Khodiyara and his . A final board reading sent Simm home in ninth place.<\/p>\n

Khodiyara then sent Adrian Ko to the rail in eighth place, before Bone\u2019s held against the of Nicola Caunce to leave only six players at the final table.<\/p>\n

Matt Hays was the next to fall, losing a coinflip with against the of Khodiyara, then the last of The Laughing Giraffes, Cezary Binczyk, was eliminated before Bone soared into the chip lead when he improved to a set with on the flop and cracked Khodiyara\u2019s .<\/p>\n

This is where the team element grew ever more interesting because Richard King, representing Ironman 3 + 1, was the only person who could determine where the team title would end up. If he finished third his team would do the same. Finish second and Ironman 3 + 1 would be runners-up, but if he won the individual element his team would push Nits&Natter into second place.<\/p>\n

King guaranteed Ironman 3 + 1 would be at least runners-up when his remained the better hand in an all-in confrontation with the last woman standing, Sylvia Hewitt, who held .<\/p>\n

Bone and King locked horns heads-up for three hours, all the while Bone teammates supporting him from the rail and the Nits&Natter team looking on hoping for a Bone victory, too. Then at 2:30am on Monday morning, Bone raised to 4 million and King called. Bone then fired a continuation bet of 2 million on the flop and King put in the calling chips. On the turn, Bone bet 4 million and King called once more. The river was the and Bone moved all-in, covering his sole opponent. King decided that his was the best hand and called, but Bone flipped over for two pair, the pot and the title of champion.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m buzzing with the win and the team effort,\u201d said Bone to the partypoker blog shortly after being crowned the UK Team Challenge champion,\u201d putting the win aside, the event was the best comp I\u2019ve played. The team element brought a different edge to the game, everyone was having a laugh at the tables throughout the whole two days. In the 10 years I\u2019ve been playing poker, it is easily the most enjoyable event I\u2019ve played and I\u2019m already looking forward to the next one.\u201d<\/p>\n
