In the 1989 blockbuster Kickboxer<\/em>, we watched on as Jean-Claude Van Damme trained for the fight of his life against the seemingly unstoppable Tong Po<\/em> in a true underdog story. On Sunday, it was \u201ckickbox100<\/strong>\u201d who was the underdog, pitting his wits against 1,044 opponents in the $200K Guaranteed Sunday.<\/p>\n

After almost 12 hours of intense poker action, during which time our hero pulled no punches, kickbox100 completed the tournament of his life and took it down with a flying roundhouse kick to scoop a massive first place prize weighing in at $27,400.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s your ringside view of how things went down at the nine-handed final table.<\/p>\n

It took only two hands for the first of our final table\u2019s warriors to be knocked out and sent to the showers. Two players folded, PrettySteph<\/strong> min-raised to 30,000 and after JIMBOFINIGAN<\/strong> folded, Inghrdsrfr<\/strong> called. The other active players folded and it was heads-up to the flop.<\/p>\n

PrettySteph opted to check, leaving the door open for Inghrdsrfr to lead for 41,555, a bet that PrettySteph called. The turn was the and PrettySteph once again checked. Inghrdsrfr took a swing with a 155,555 bet and PrettySteph stood her ground and called off her last 152,221 chips.<\/p>\n

It was of PrettySteph versus the of Inghrdsrfr, which put PrettySteph on the back foot. The may have improved PrettySteph to trip queens, but Inghrdsrfr had the same hand with an ace-kicker and that was more than enough to put PrettySteph on the floor.<\/p>\n

Some 64 hands played out after PrettySteph\u2019s exit before a short-stacked JIMBOFINIGAN made an ill-timed move as he attempted to rebuild his stack.<\/p>\n

Barron1899<\/strong> was flying at this stage with more than 1.6 million in chips and when he raised to 50,000 from the button and JIMBOFINIGAn three-bet all-in from the small blind for 81,810 in total, he had an easy call.<\/p>\n

The call would have been easy enough at the best of times, but made even more so by the fact Barron1899 held ! JIMBOFINIGAN could only muster the and when the five community cards fell JIMBOFINIGAN\u2019s tournament came to an abrupt end.<\/p>\n

Another big pair sent a player to the rail, this time the ladies of Inghrdsrfr giving Fortunatus3<\/strong> a sucker punch. Fortunatus3 raised all-in from late position for 257,269 chips at the 15,000\/30,000\/3,000a level with and looked set to collect the blinds and antes. That was until the action passed to Inghrdsrfr in the big blind and he called with . Neither player improved on the board, meaning the queens of Inghrdsrfr had held and Fortunatus3\u2019s tournament was over.<\/p>\n

Next to fall by the wayside was NoSc00pForU<\/strong> in what was of tournament poker\u2019s many coinflip scenarios. NoSc00pForU pushed his 11 big blinds into the middle from early position with and Barron1899 looked him up from the next seat along with .<\/p>\n

Barron1899 didn\u2019t catch an ace or king. He didn\u2019t make a straight or flush either, yet he still busted NoSc00pForU. How? The board ran out to counterfeit NoSc00pForU\u2019s pocket fours, a brutal way to exit a tournament.<\/p>\n

PAXTER<\/strong> was the next player eliminated, one hand after he scored a much-needed double with versus the of Barron1899.<\/p>\n

The very next hand, PAXTER min-raised to 60,000 from under the gun and the action folded to Inghrdsrfr in the small blind. Inghrdsrfr three-bet to 160,000 and kickbox100 folded his big blind. PAXTER was going nowhere \u2013 and neither would you if you had in your hand \u2013 and raised all-in for 540,068 in total. Inghrdsrfr called with and it was off to the races.<\/p>\n

It was a race that Inghrdsrfr won almost immediately thanks to the flop falling , which left PAXTER with a 10% chance of winning. Those chances reduced to 5% when the appeared on the turn and disappeared completely on the arrival of the on the river. Good game.<\/p>\n

PAXTER\u2019s exit left four players in contention for the title, but those four became three when Ragoo007<\/strong> crashed out.<\/p>\n

Already on the ropes after bluffing all three streets of a board with only to be shown by Inghrdsrfr, Ragoo007 min-raised to 80,000 from under the gun and kickbox100 called from the big blind.<\/p>\n

The flop was bet to the tune of 98,000 by kickbox100, raised all-in by Ragoo007 for less than 50,000 more chips and called by kickbox100. The in kickbox100\u2019s hand needed to avoid plenty of outs in order to remain best, which is exactly what it did as the turn and river came and .<\/p>\n

Another 50\/50 hand resulted in Inghrdsrfr becoming the third place finisher. A raise of three-time the big blind to 120,000 from kickbox100 on the button was met with a 662,779 all-in bet from Inghrdsrfr in the big blind. Kickbox100 called with and beat the of Inghrdsrfr when he caught a king on the turn of the board.<\/p>\n

The chip counts were evenly matched going into the one-on-one battle between Barron1899 and kickbox100, the latter trailing ever-so-slightly by 2,510,966 to 2,714,054 chips.<\/p>\n

A few large pots when Batton1899\u2019s way and everything pointed towards him knocking out kickbox100 and walking away with the title. But kickbox100 reached deep, thought through the pain barrier and was rewarded when his got there against Barron1899\u2019s . This gave kickbox100 a 1 million chip advantage and the fight was back on.<\/p>\n

The chip lead exchanged hands several times before kickbox100 got lucky and sent Barron1899 home in second place.<\/p>\n

By now the blinds were 30,000\/60,000\/6,000a and Barron1899 raised to 120,000. Kickbox100 called and the flop came into view. A check from kickbox100 was met with a 120,000 continuation bet from Barron1899 then a check-raise to 306,000 from kickbox100. Barron1899 called and watched on a kickbox100 fired a 432,000 bet at his torso when the appeared on the turn.<\/p>\n

Barron1899 didn\u2019t believe the story he was being told and decided to jam all\u2014in for his remaining 1,778,624 chips with what turned out to be . kickbox100 quickly called and showed for an open-ended straight draw and two live cards, giving him 32% equity in the hand. Just as it looked like kickbox100 was going to have his stack smashed to pieces, he rose from the ground with an uppercut and completed his straight when the completed the five community cards. Game over for Barron1899 and victory for kickbox100.<\/p>\n
