More than one thousand poker players \u2013 1,047 to be exact \u2013 took to the partypoker virtual felt on Sunday for the latest instalment of the $200K Guaranteed tournament, our flagship weekly event. When the dust finally settled on another fantastic tournament, there was only Germany\u2019s Karsten \u201cImbiss-Bronkow\u201d Dalchow<\/strong> who had chips in front of him and\u00a0$27,400 first place prize which is more than enough to buy some sick beats right?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s pick up the action from the nine-handed final table.<\/p>\n

Twenty-six hands played out before the final table lost its first player. Having started as the shortest stack, OhsoDante<\/strong> had his work cut out if he wanted to move up the pay ladder. He looked likely to double through fg911<\/strong> when he moved all-in for 184,112 chips at the 10,000\/20,000\/2,000a level with and fg911 called with the dominated .<\/p>\n

After four community cards OhsoDante must have been fist-pumping at the thought of being back in the game, but the on the river ended any hopes of a comeback and resigned OhsoDante to ninth place money, or $1,920 to you and I.<\/p>\n

OhsoDante would not have even had time to log off before VT_chisna<\/strong> found himself with empty space where his chips used to be. Imbiss-Bronkow raised to 41,000 from the cutoff seat and VT_chisna responded with an all-in bet of 318,956 in total. Imbiss-Bronkow opted to call with the in his hand and discovered he was trailing the of his all-in opponent.<\/p>\n

Play progressed to the 12,500\/25,000\/2,500a level and the effective stacks began to shrink. Sixteen hands later and those six were reduced to five after a bad beat claimed the tournament life of vadimvalm<\/strong>. Sammy_squid min-raised to 50,000 from early position and then called when vadimvalm (big blind) three-bet all-in for 234,816 chips in total. Sammy_squid showed and vadimvalm . Again it was the river that flipped the hand on its head, this time the coming to Sammy_squid\u2019s rescue and leaving vadimvalm wondering what could have been.<\/p>\n

Five became four when fullserviceplz<\/strong> busted from the final table. Sammy_squid opened to 50,000 from under-the-gun, fullserviceplz three-bet to 475,000, leaving only 26,756 behind so it was essentially an all-in bet. It was that fullserviceplz had made his move with, a hand that was crushed by the of Wirzlwastl1. The five community cards ran out to send fullserviceplz to the rail in fifth place, a finish worth $5,300.<\/p>\n

Four-handed play lasted more than 110 hands and ended with the demise of Sammy_squid. The popular Brit\u2019s tournament came to an abrupt end after losing a series of decent sized pots to leave him with 10 big blinds. Imbiss-Bronkow put Sammy_squid to the test and moved all-in from the small blind with and sammy_squid called with the superior .<\/p>\n

It was a hand that only stayed superior up to the turn of the board, and sammy_squid exited.<\/p>\n

Next to bust was Wurzlwastl1 who looked down at and a 797,550 stack and moved all-in from the small blind. This is a move that usually results in winning the blinds and antes. Usually. This time Imbiss-Bronkow was waiting in the big blind with and he called. Neither player improved in a , but Imbiss-Bronkow didn\u2019t need to and the tournament reached its heads-up stage.<\/p>\n

Imbiss-Bronkow started the one-on-one battle with TurtleManeyeye<\/strong> with a 3,977,450 to 1,257,550 chip lead, yet it still took the best part of 80 hands to bring the tournament to a conclusion.<\/p>\n

The final hand of the night saw Imbiss-Bronkow open to 160,000 from the button, TurtleManeyeye three-bet all-in for 1,540,458 chips in total and Imbiss-Bronkow call. The board ran out , which left Imbiss-Bronkow\u2019s better than the in the hand of TurtleManeyeye, and with that Imbiss-Bronkow became the latest in a long line of $200K Guaranteed champions.<\/p>\n
