{"id":34986,"date":"2014-02-26T10:23:53","date_gmt":"2014-02-26T09:23:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/?p=34986"},"modified":"2019-10-31T12:32:20","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T12:32:20","slug":"partypoker-wpt-aspers-accumulator-flight-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/partypoker-wpt-aspers-accumulator-flight-2.html","title":{"rendered":"partypoker WPT Aspers Accumulator Flight 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Elegance At Aspers <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With so many quality players, it&#8217;s been a fantastic second flight and with Flight 3 to come after an hour&#8217;s break, the excitement is far from over. \u00a0Here in one of our exclusive shots from the poker room here in Stratford, London, we see Joe &#8216;The Elegance&#8217; Beevers chatting with partypoker&#8217;s own Kara Scott (below). \u00a0both players took part in Flight 2 today, with Kara bagging up 61,800 to add to her stack yesterday, meaning her combined total is 95,100 &#8211; very impressive.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"WPT_2324 by partypoker, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/partypoker\/12838946833\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"WPT_2324\" src=\"https:\/\/c2.staticflickr.com\/8\/7424\/12838946833_14c1f83d20_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"419\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aces Cracked For Greco <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t see Michael Greco lose his stack, so as play ended in Flight 2, amid the riffle of chips being tipped into plastic bags and the question repeating around the room like an echo &#8216;&#8230;So how much do you have?&#8217; we caught a moment or two with the L.A. based actor who has returned to Blighty today to play so well here in the WPT UK National event.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I had pocket aces. \u00a0I raise to 2,400 and a lady opposite me re-raises to 6k. \u00a0I&#8217;m loving this, and re-pop it to 16k, she shoves for 45,000 and I call.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the golden situation. \u00a0I&#8217;m guessing she has kings. Michael thought the same.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She has to have kings there, right? She shows me Ace-Ten and tells me that because I was raising again she thought I was at it. \u00a0It&#8217;s the perfect situation. \u00a0The three comes out the deck first, I&#8217;m loving that. \u00a0Then jack, queen complete the flop.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The expression says it all. I know the king came in on the turn, but Michael tells me anyway. \u00a0It&#8217;s horrible &#8211; a 120k pot slides across to the other player, and four hours of what Michael called &#8216;perfect poker&#8217; ends with the former Eastender needing to do it all over again in the final flight.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll see if he does from 8pm right here on the <a title=\"partypoker blog\" href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\">partypoker blog<\/a>. \u00a0In the meantime, the players are filing out; we&#8217;ll bring you a round -up of the Flight and full chip counts as soon as we have them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>In And Out <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some players are making merry in the last three hands, risking a little to win a lot, while others are praying for a double-up. \u00a0Kevin Williams, Tom Dunning and Yves Fargas will each have to do it the hard way, trying to make Flight 3 the one where they star and take a big stack from that through to Day 2 &#8211; otherwise, they&#8217;re out as neither flight so far has helped them. \u00a0The same doesn&#8217;t apply &#8211; yet &#8211; to Michael Greco (pictured, below) , but he&#8217;s lost a huge chunk \u00a0of his chips, down to just 12k from 68k a few orbits ago &#8211; we&#8217;ll endeavour to find out how that happened!<\/p>\n<p>Kara Scott has 62,100 and is racing between tables as she multi-tables her special SnG with 5 lucky freerollers all hoping to win a \u00a3200 seat for taking it down, and her Flight 2, which has gone very, very well indeed. \u00a0She has a combined 95,000 chips&#8230;as long as she survives the last few hands!<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"WPT_2353 by partypoker, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/partypoker\/12838841085\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"WPT_2353\" src=\"https:\/\/c2.staticflickr.com\/8\/7408\/12838841085_f9186fbd01_z.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"424\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Level 8 &#8211; Blinds 500\/1000\/ante 100<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dead Or Alive?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"WPT_2267 by partypoker, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/partypoker\/12836935364\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"WPT_2267\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.staticflickr.com\/3670\/12836935364_594650f8c0.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Two high profile exits have happened in recent minutes, with Ian Frazer (pictured) out of the tournament, and Jerome Bradpiece joining him on the rail ahead of Flight 3. \u00a0Jerome lost a lot with &#8220;pocket sevens into pocket aces&#8221; and then got it in with Q-J on a flop of K-T-x. His opponent had K-J and held to eliminate him, but Bradpiece is already regged for Flight 3.<\/p>\n<p>Two players who are still very much alive are the Chattha brothers. \u00a0Sunny has made a spectacular comeback, grinding his way back up to 45,000 from fresh air just two levels ago. \u00a0Chaz, meanwhile, got into a real duel with exciting young player Tommy Zhang. \u00a0Pre-flop, we counted around 4,000 in the middle. \u00a0The flop fanned <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/3h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/3c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and Tommy check-called Chaz&#8217;s bet of 1400. \u00a0On the turn of <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> Tommy check-called again, this time to 3,800. \u00a0The pot was building.<\/p>\n<p>On the river, Tommy checked yet again. \u00a0Would Chaz check behind for showdown value? Only one player called Barny&#8217;s continuation bet of 500, exactly the amount he raised pre-flop. \u00a0The turn of a <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> prompted a check-call again from Barny&#8217;s mop-haired opponent, doing a passable impression of Manchester United footballer Maroane Fellaini. \u00a0On the river of a <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> , Barny&#8217;s nemesis shoved to put Barny in for the extra 5,000 chips he still had and the Hendon Mobster called it off. \u00a0His opponent showed pocket sixes for a full house, and while Chaz thinks Barny might have showed the king, the bracelet winner is out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuna Fished<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Tuna is used to playing big buy-in tournaments in London and all over Europe, and the pro is a fearsome competitor. \u00a0Stoea Ratevan qualified online for this tourney via partypoker and this is definitely an enjoyable step up for him, and with both men sat right next to each other, we joined the action on the turn. \u00a0With a board of <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> , Ratevan bet 1800 in the hijack, but Gabriel, in position on the button raised, &#8216;clicking it back&#8217;
