{"id":32568,"date":"2013-11-13T18:15:08","date_gmt":"2013-11-13T17:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/?p=32568"},"modified":"2019-10-31T12:48:51","modified_gmt":"2019-10-31T12:48:51","slug":"partypoker-qualifier-younas-ronhoff-wins-wpt-national-copenhagen-main-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/partypoker-qualifier-younas-ronhoff-wins-wpt-national-copenhagen-main-event.html","title":{"rendered":"partypoker Qualifier Younas R\u00f8nhoff Wins the WPT National Copenhagen Main Event!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twenty-two year old Danish pro <strong>Younas R\u00f8nhoff<\/strong> is on cloud nine right now after turning a $265 partypoker satellite win into 610,000 Danish Kroner (approx. $100,000) by winning the <strong>World Poker Tour National Copenhagen Main Event<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>After qualifying for the WPT National Copenhagen Main Event at partypoker, R\u00f8nhoff took his seat at the major live event alongside 241 other players, each hoping to become a WPT National champion.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00f8nhoff flew under the radar for the first two days of the 10,000 DKK (\u20ac1,350) buy-in Main Event at the <strong>Casino Copenhagen<\/strong>, but Day 3 saw him storm up the leader board and reach the eight-handed final table as an overwhelming chip leader, one with over 40% of the total chips in play. Hansen<\/strong> was the first player to fall by the wayside and he was followed to the rail by <strong>Simon Nybo<\/strong>, <strong>Anders Rasmussen<\/strong>, <strong>Anders Fraulund<\/strong> and <strong>Allan Sandsgaard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Those eliminations left R\u00f8nhoff to take on <strong>Helge Rahbek<\/strong> for the title of WPT National Copenhagen champion. Going into heads-up, Rahbek held a two-to-one chip lead over the partypoker qualifier and after winning the vast majority of the early encounters, increased this lead to a seemingly unassailable 11-to-1 chip lead.<\/p>\n<p>It looked as if R\u00f8nhoff was dead and buried and would have to settle for the runner-up prize. That was until his [Ax][4x] caught an ace on the river to beat the [Qx][Jx] of Rahbek \u2013 which had flopped a queen \u2013 to double up. From that moment on, R\u00f8nhoff never looked back and had soon drawn level, prompting Rahbek to take up R\u00f8nhoff\u2019s offer of a deal of adding 55,000 DKK to second place.<\/p>\n<p>Soon after agreeing the deal, R\u00f8nhoff secured the title. With the board reading <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/4c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ah.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/7s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">, Rahbek moved all-in with what turned out to be <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ac.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and R\u00f8nhoff instantly called having made two pair with his <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/jd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/7s.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">.
