Antonio Esfandiari has closed the gap on chip leader Jonathan Duhamel, while Phil Hellmuth continues to slide.<\/p>\n

Good level for<\/h3>\n

Antonio Esfandiari<\/strong> – A good level for Esfandiari who added 116,000 chips to his stack and now trails Jonathan Duhamel by only27,000 chips.<\/p>\n

Daniel Negreanu<\/strong> – Negreanu had a good level, doubling up through Sam Trickett, though he did try an ill-timed bluff in a hand with Esfandiari to lose some of the tricks that used to belong to Trickett.<\/p>\n

Bad level for <\/h3>\n

Phil Hellmuth<\/strong> – The 13-time WSOP bracelet winner continues to slide and is on course to pick up \u201cthe bagel\u201d in this heat.<\/p>\n

Hand of the level <\/h3>\n

Negreanu\u2019s double-up aside, the best hand in our opinion was his bluff against Esfandiari and the latter\u2019s great read to bet the river of a scary board.<\/p>\n

Esfandiari opened to 18,000 with and Negreanu called with in position. The flop saw Esfandiari lead for 26,000 and Negreanu raise to 62,000 with his complete airball! Esfandiari called and the dealer placed the on the turn. After the flop action it was surprising to see both players check.<\/p>\n

The river was the and Phil Laak \u2013 in the commentary booth \u2013 said Negreanu\u2019s line looked a lot like a king, but Esfandiari read Negreanu perfectly and bet 55,000. Negreanu released his hand and Esfandiari won the pot.<\/p>\n
