He’s the clear chip leader at this stage, in part to just making quads. Let’s rewind…

Three-players – Duhamel and the two Daniel’s took a flop which came the pre-flop aggressor was Daniel Negreanu, he continued for 25,000, Duhamel flat called with and Phil Laak said, there’s no way all the money doesn’t go in here as Daniel Cates was waiting behind with , but Cates just smooth called.

The turn left Negreanu drawing dead and Cates drawing thin, all three players checked, “I can’t believe he checked there,” said Jesse May. “I quite like it said Phil Laak, he’s giving the other players chance to catch up. The hit the river giving Duhamel quads. After a bit of contemplation Cates led for 35,000 – about a quarter of the pot – Negreanu folded and Duhamel raised to 132,000. Everyone in the commentary box was surprised when Cates dwell-called, the latter said “that makes sense,” when he saw Duhamel’s hand. “He should of gone broke in that hand,” said Laak.

One of the players making his debut in this seasons Premier League is 2010 WSOP main event champion Jonathan Duhamel.
