Close To The End.<\/h3>\n

Three more hand and Day 2 is done. 79 players remain, so tomorrow at 1pm we’ll start with an exciting play toward the prize money.<\/p>\n

Wojciech Lozowski took down some nice pots during this level. One of them saw him checkraise all in on the turn with the board showing . His opponent folds and Wozzo moves up to 200,000 chips.<\/p>\n

Duhamel Out, Narboni Doubles.<\/h3>\n

The 2010 WSOP Main Event winner is out of the room. Jonathan Duhamel opened under the gun, Alexander Lahkov calls in the small blind.<\/p>\n

Flop: [Qx][Jx][2x] with two spades<\/p>\n

Alexander opts for a check-raise to 20,000, Jonathan answers with an all in. Didn’t take Alexander long to call with [Kx][Qx], which was well ahead of Jonathan’s [Qx][Jx].<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Philippe Narboni doubled to 75,000 chips. His did the trick against of an unknown player.<\/p>\n

81 players left on Day 2 with 37 minutes to go.<\/p>\n

Approaching The End Of Day 2.<\/h3>\n

Let’s catch up with what happened during the last level.<\/p>\n

Dermot Blain moved from 170,000 chips into the chip lead. At least temporarily. First he doubled with jacks against Zoltan Szabo’s kings after he put all his chips into the pot with a flopped set.<\/p>\n

Only a few hands later he got dealt jacks again. Once more Zoltan was one of his victims. In a 3-way pot he eliminated the Hungarian and German player Julian Herold.<\/p>\n

In a preflop allin Dermot had them both covered and turned a set for the win.<\/p>\n

At the other end of the room, two well known WSOP Main Event players clashed. WSOP Champion Jonathan Duhamel doubled up Elizabeth Hille, who came in 11th at this years Main Event.
\nElizabeth turned a set of jacks and moved in at the river when the board showed . Duhamel looked her up, immediately mucked his losing hand and Elizabeth moves up to 140,000.<\/p>\n

How Much Do You Have?<\/h3>\n

Here are what looks like the biggest stacks in the room.<\/p>\n

The WPT & PartyPoker Players Karaoke Party.<\/h3>\n

When play resumed after the dinnerbreak, we had a quick look into the PartyPoker Lounge. While the official players party is still half an hour away, all PartyPoker & bwin qualifiers were invited early for some preparty drink. There’s a Santa Claus theme going on down there, with the Royal Flush Girls dressed up as Santa’s little helpers.<\/p>\n

Going to be interesting to see who’s gonna be on stage for the karaoke.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We’re going to join the party later on, for now it’s back to poker.
\nWe’re 30 minutes into level 14, with blinds 1,2k\/2,4 ante 400. One more elimination and less than hundred players will be left in the Main Event.<\/p>\n

Dinnerbreak.<\/h3>\n

Players in the Main Event are on dinnerbreak. There’s been a lot of action in these four levels so far, the field has been reduced from 280 to 105 players. If it goes on like this, we will get down to the 72 paid places shortly after the dinner. Well, it won’t go on like these. The closer we get to the money, the less action we’ll see.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile Gani Weiss took down a nice pot. He opened the action utg to 4,5k and got three callers.<\/p>\n

Flop: <\/p>\n

It was Tony Chang in the small blind who bet out for 8k, Pavel\tKellner on the button and Gani Weiss payed and the three of them saw on the turn.<\/p>\n

Tony slowed down and it was Gani who put 17,000 into the middle. Pavel reacted with a raise to 37,500, while Tony gave it up at this point. The action was back to Gani who asked for a chipcount and finally moved all in. It was up to Pavel to make a decision for his tournament life. He took his time and finally went in with his last 60,000.<\/p>\n

Pavel was hoping for another club or a jack for a straight. Neither of them hit the board and he had to pack his things. Gani on the other hand is closing in on 400,000 chips.<\/p>\n

Tony G and Wozzo.<\/h3>\n

If you looked through todays posts on the PartyPoker Blog, you probably noticed Tony G’s new article<\/strong><\/a>. As he writes about Wojciech Lozowski, we forwarded a link to our Polish star.<\/p>\n

Eugene Katchalov Out.<\/h3>\n

It was Tony Chang who opened under the gun for 4,000 chips. Two seats next to him it was Eugene Katchalov who went all in for around 35,000. It folds around to Mikhail Mazunin on the cutoff, who moves his huge stack into the middle.<\/p>\n

The action is back to Tony. Right away it’s obvious he has a hard decision. Tony calls the clock on himself and finally folds his hand.<\/p>\n

While it was all low cards on the flop, Mikhail spiked a king on the turn to give him the lead. No two outer for Eugene who has to head to the rail.<\/p>\n

Lucille Cailly Doubles.<\/h3>\n

She was down to her last 22,000 chips, when she opened the action in early position with an allin. Right next to her it was big stack Lars Bonding who made the call and had her dominated with [Ax][Kx].<\/p>\n

She didn’t have to sweat it for too long, as the came right on the flop.<\/p>\n

Level 13 About To Start.<\/h3>\n

With blinds at 1k\/2k ante 300 the blinds and antes are starting to hurt. Every round at the table costs almost 6,000 chips, about 5% of the average stack (118,000). We’re playing the last level before the dinnerbreak. Right now, there’s still 140 players at the table, only half of them will make it into the money.<\/p>\n

Players are on break for three more minutes, right now it’s only the dealers guarding the tournament area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Marco Lang might not have been the chipleader after winning a 400k pot earlier on (read 2 posts below), but he sure is now. He’s sitting with more than half a million in chips, there’s probably more than 100k distance to his closest rival.<\/p>\n

\u20ac10,000 Highroller Tomorrow.<\/h3>\n

If you got nothing better to do and just emptied your piggy bank, you might want to join us for tomorrow’s \u20ac10,000 Highroller Event. I’m sure you can pay the buy in using coins. And don’t worry about busting, it’s a re-entry.<\/p>\n

400,000 In The Pot!<\/h3>\n

Daniel Ospina started Day 2 as one of the chipleaders. In the most recent hand he lost most of his stack to Canadian Marco Lang, leaving himself with 50,000.<\/p>\n

There were already 25,000 chips in the pot, when Daniel bet potsize on a flop. Marco called.<\/p>\n

Turn: <\/p>\n

This time Daniel opted for a check-raise and went all in after Marco’s 38k bet. It didn’t take Marco long to call, as he had a set of threes. Daniel on the other hand was bluffing with and left hoping for a ten on the river. No help for him and Marco took down a pot worth 400,000!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Meanwhile we lost Thor Hansen after all, his couldn’t beat Shannon Shorr’s pocket fives.<\/p>\n

Thor Hansen Triples Up.<\/h3>\n

He was the shortstack at his table, when he invested his last chips on the flop. Martin Kabrhel and Shannon Shorr looked him up both, Martin holding [Ax][5x] and Shannon a pair of sixes. Thor showed them his set of threes and managed to triple up to 25,000 chips in the last hand of level 11.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

You can see the average stack behind Thor’s face, while blinds are now at 800\/1,600 ante 200.<\/p>\n

The Rich Get Richer.<\/h3>\n

Mikhail Mazunin was the only player who started Day 2 with a stack over 200k. He’s being doing well so far and added another 100k to his stack.<\/p>\n

We’re happy to see that Bodo Sbrzesny<\/a><\/strong> had a good day so far. He started Day 2 with 21,000 in chips and managed to invest them the best possible way. It looks like he has more than 100,000 in front of him.
\nFrom what we’ve heard he doubled with jacks against aces and a lucky river card.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

There’s around 200 people in front of me who still have a chance to achieve that.<\/p>\n

Swedish Poker Champion Running Good.<\/h3>\n

The winner of the 2012 Swedish Poker Masters Daniel Christofer Erlandsson managed to build his stack with pocket aces and an elimination. His victim was Dmitry\tBuchin, who lost his stack of more than 30k with in a preflop all in.
\nA king on the flop was all the help that Dimitry got while Daniel is now sitting on a six figured stack.<\/p>\n

Kara Scott Eliminated.<\/h3>\n

Kara Scott couldn’t enjoy a long stay on Day 2. It took around an hour before she started her final hand. Opening under the gun with [Ax][Kx] she was up against three other players. On a king high flop with two hearts she went in with her remaining 30BB against the player in the big blind. He showed for top pair and a flushdraw. He hit his flush and Kara Scott is done with the WPT Prague.<\/p>\n

Level 10 has come to an end, after a short break play will resume with blinds 600\/1,200 ante 200.<\/p>\n

Andras Fekete Off To The Rail.<\/h3>\n

He startet Day 2 with slightly less than 40,000 chips. When he looked down at pocket kings he basically found a dream scenario. His 3-bet was followed by his opponents all in. Andras calls and is up against sixes. It all seemed great till the river, I’ll give you five guesses which card came down to the board at that point.<\/p>\n

Here’s what every player can look forward to. With \u20ac 1,633,471 in the prize pool, 1st place walks away with \u20ac 325,000. A total of 72 players will leave the WPT Prague Main Event with cash in their pockets.<\/p>\n

Meet Mister X<\/h3>\n

After being in contact with Scotland Yard and Interpol, Mister X has been tracked down. He goes by the name of Soren Kongsgaard Nielsen and came all the way from Denmark.<\/p>\n

Honestly, we don’t know how he ended up as ‘Mister X’ in the chipcounts, as his chipbag seemed to be filled out properly. We might catch up with him during the first break.<\/p>\n

Day 2 started with blinds 500\/1,000 and ante 100. The average stack is 63,000. It didn’t take long for the first shortstacks to loose their last chips.<\/p>\n

Today we are playing 90 minutes levels, after each of them there will be a short break. A total of six levels are planned for Day 2, dinnerbreak is after level 4.<\/p>\n

Ready To Go.<\/h3>\n

Players are unpacking their chipbags and all seems ready for a punctual start at 1pm. According to the official chipcounts<\/strong><\/a> there’s a Mister X out there, starting Day 2 with 1 chip.<\/p>\n

Still 90 minutes to go till the start of Day 2. While cross-referencing the official chipcounts with the PartyPoker bwin players list, we noticed that there were several Polish players sitting in top spots.<\/p>\n

Two of them are here with us, Pawel\tBrzeski and Wojciech “Wozzo” Lozowski are wearing either PartyPoker or bwin gear. With Wozzo being an artist we start our reporting with a great Thursday morning song.<\/p>\n
