The $109 buy-in tournament saw 5,123 PartyPoker players create <strong>a guarantee-busting $512,300 prize pool<\/strong>, and Sjogren got his hands on $47,569 of that princely sum.<\/p>\n<p>Some 752 of the 5,123 starters took to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PartyPoker<\/strong><\/a> virtual felt on October 24 to conclude this thrilling event. Team Online&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/two-mclaren-turbo-series-final-tables-for-jaime-staples.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jaime Staples<\/strong><\/a> was among them, but our hero could only muster a 213rd place finish.<\/p>\n<p>The likes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/diego-cuellar-wins-the-2021-powerfest-main-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Diego Cuellar<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Michael Gathy<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/tomi-brouk-wins-the-grand-patrick-leonard-second.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Tomi Brouk<\/strong><\/a> went deep, although they fell short of the final table.<\/p>\n<p>Malta-based grinder <strong>Antonio Ortega<\/strong> was the nine-handed final tables first casualty. He walked away with $5,059 to show for his considerable efforts. <strong>Saloua Benalla<\/strong> ($4,036), <strong>Mark Elliott<\/strong> ($8,486), <strong>Roman Korkin<\/strong> ($8,276), and <strong>Manuel Carvalho<\/strong> ($9,014) joined the list of busted players, the latter capturing the tournament&#8217;s last four-figure payout.<\/p>\n<p>Fifth place and a cool $15,124 went to <strong>Zachary Hussain<\/strong> of the United Kingdom before <strong>Pal Orsos<\/strong> of Germany bowed out in third for a $18,257 score. Orsos&#8217; elimination left Sjogren heads-up against Czech grinder <strong>Jiri Havlena<\/strong>. Both players had locked in more than $28,600 from the main prize pool, but the final bounty weighed in at more than $18,000. That chunky pot meant all but one of the nine finalists turned their initial $11 investment into a four-figure haul that significantly boosted their bankrolls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stuart Liang<\/strong> finished ninth and won $1,079, over $300 more than eighth-place finisher <strong>Aksel Danielsen<\/strong> thanks to the fact the former won significantly more from the bounty prize pool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Markus Costa<\/strong> ($1,232), <strong>Gustavo Cerejeira<\/strong> ($1,616), and <strong>Danil Alves<\/strong> ($1,813) all hail from Brazil and were the next three finalists to fall by the wayside. The United Kingdom&#8217;s <strong>Pal Bernath<\/strong> won $2,718, with <strong>Paulo Pinto<\/strong> from Malta netting $4,500.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up pitted <strong>Thomas Zois<\/strong> of Greece against Brazilian <strong>Victor Virgillo Dagnoni<\/strong>. When the dust settled, Zois had all the chips in play and a total haul worth $7,913. Bulgaria&#8217;s <strong>Iven Denev<\/strong> followed suit ($7,606), with the surviving four players now guaranteed more than $11,000 for their efforts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ian Modder<\/strong> banked $11,626 when he fell in fourth, before <strong>Csaba Szasz<\/strong> of Hungary got his hands on the $14,104 third-place prize.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gabriel De Melo<\/strong> locked horns with <strong>Philippe D&#8217;Auteuil<\/strong> of Canada in a battle for the title and the lion&#8217;s share of the prize pool.
