Canada&#8217;s Lefleur came out on top of a final table dominated by Norden players and padded his bankroll with $26,197.<\/p>\n<p>Only 141 of the 949 progressed to Day 2, each having locked up $237.37 from the regular prize pool in addition to any bounties they picked up along the way. Stars such as <strong>Jonathan Proudfoot<\/strong>, <strong>Jerry Odeen<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/jareth-east-wins-wptdeepstacks-for-a-massive-557k.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jareth East<\/strong><\/a>, and our very own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jaime-staples\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jaime Staples<\/strong><\/a> reached Day 2 but fell before the seven-handed final table was set.<\/p>\n<p>Denmark&#8217;s <strong>Henrik Juncker<\/strong> ($2,822) was the first of the seven finalists to find themselves on the sidelines. Sweden&#8217;s <strong>Ludvig Lindstrom<\/strong> ($5,154), Mexico-based grinder <strong>Diego Thomas<\/strong> ($6,664), and Dane <strong>Patrick Hyllegaard<\/strong> ($6,717) joined the list of busted players.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up was set when Canada&#8217;s <strong>Jonathan Bussieres<\/strong> ($9,903) fell by the wayside; the heads-up duo were now guaranteed five-figure scores.<\/p>\n<p>Lafleur and <strong>Elias Suhonen<\/strong> of Finland fought it out one-on-one having secured more than $13,900 from the main prize pool. Both players had sent plenty of opponents to the rail before reaching this point, so the final bounty weighed in at over $12,000.<\/p>\n<p>Lafelur got the job done and walked away with the title of champion in addition to $26,197 in prize money. Legoupil came out on top of a 2,969 field to turn his $22 investment into the lion&#8217;s share of the $75,000 prize pool, namely $7,271.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the seven finalists saw their $22 buy-in swell into a six-figure sum thanks, in part, to the bounty element of this exciting tournament. <strong>John Nugent<\/strong> ($1,345), <strong>Kiril Protsenko<\/strong> ($1,375), and <strong>Kyle Cronin<\/strong> ($1,721) were the first trio of finalists to fall by the wayside. <strong>Martin Alcaide<\/strong> of Bulgaria ($2,388), and the United Kingdom&#8217;s <strong>Paul Murphy<\/strong> ($4,032) busted out, leaving Legoupil heads-up against Germany star <strong>Daniel Yerin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Having locked in more than $5,300 from the regular prize pool, the heads-up duo fought it out for the final bounties of the event.
