Germany\u2019s Philipp Krieger<\/strong> helped himself to the largest partypoker Players Championship UK<\/strong><\/a> score of the series so far courtesy of triumphing in the PPC UK #08 Mini Main Event<\/strong> on April 24. The $109 buy-in tournament saw 2,498 players buy-in across numerous Day 1s, but only 371 of those starters made it through to the final day, each of them securing at least a min-cash.<\/p>\n

Each of the Day 2 players received at least $219 for their efforts, but this amount increased to almost $3,000 by the time the nine-handed final table was set. The final table was a cosmopolitan affair with eight countries represented.<\/p>\n

Mexico lost its horse in the race when Nikita Kalinin<\/strong> crashed out in ninth for $2,837. Brazilian William Barbosa<\/strong> ($3,643), Germany\u2019s Niko Wieland<\/strong> ($4,599), and Joao Gaspar<\/strong> of Malta ($5,944) joined Kalinin on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

Ivan Balzano<\/strong> was the last recipient of a four-figure prize; the Argentinian collected $7,799 after his demise in fifth place.<\/p>\n

Fourth-place and $11,469 went to Artem Voziianov<\/strong>, who calls Kazakhstan home, before Viktor Popov<\/strong> of Bulgaria saw his tournament end in a third-place finish worth $17,306. Popov\u2019s exit left Philipp Krieger heads-up against Swedish grinder Max Herulf<\/strong>. The one-on-one battle went Krieger\u2019s way, and he secured a $37,382 payout, leaving Herulf to walk away with a $25,377 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

Do not miss the last handful of online PPC UK events because there is some juicy value in there, not least in the online Day 1 of the \u00a3500,000 guaranteed Main Event.<\/p>\n

Seventy-six players bought into the Main Event Day 1 on April 24, but only 11 of them punched their Day 2 tickets. Christopher Brammer<\/strong> (1,159,360) and Euan McNicholas<\/strong><\/a> (1,035,076) were the only players who managed to turn their 100,000 starting stacks into more than one million chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
