Brazil\u2019s Rafael Eltz<\/strong> signed off the 2022 Irish Open Online<\/strong> in style by winning the Knockout Championship<\/strong> event. Eltz overcame 709 opponents to claim a total prize weighing in at \u20ac40,991, the lion\u2019s share of the \u20ac250,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n

Day 2, the final day, shuffled up and deal at 19:30 BST on April 10 with 106 players returning to their seats. Each of those returnees locked in a min-cash from the main prize pool in addition to any bounties they had collected along the way.<\/p>\n

The likes of Alex Kulev<\/strong>, Roland Rokita<\/strong><\/a>, Daniel Smiljkovic<\/strong><\/a>, Fabio Sperling<\/strong><\/a>, Ivan Luca<\/strong>, Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a>, and Tom Hall<\/strong> all cashed but failed to navigate their way to the nine-handed final table.<\/p>\n

Bounties played a major role in boosting players\u2019 scores in this event with at least \u20ac165 won for each opponent eliminated. Everyone won at least a four-figure bounty prize at the final table, meaning nobody walked away with less than \u20ac3,642 for their efforts.<\/p>\n

Anderson Siqueira<\/strong> was the first finalist heading out of the door. Canadian star Shawn Buchanan<\/strong>, Joao Baumgarten<\/strong>, and Jack Hoffman<\/strong> joined Siqueira in the role of spectator. Bruno Cardoso<\/strong> fell in fifth, which came with a \u20ac9,391 payout, the last prize not to be five-figures.<\/p>\n

Fourth place and \u20ac10,431 went to Paul Hoefer<\/strong> of Austrian with fellow Austrian Tomas Patka<\/strong> crashing out in third for a \u20ac14,291 addition to his bankroll.<\/p>\n

That penultimate elimination left Eltz heads-up with fellow Brazilian Kelvin Kerber<\/strong>. Both players received just shy of \u20ac18,100 from the main prize pool, but the bounties were massive at this stage, not least because Eltz had sent 10 opponents to the showers on his way to heads-up. Eltz claimed his 11th bounty then the one on his head when he defeated Kerber in the one-on-one battle. Kerber walked away with a combined prize worth \u20ac19,436 but Eltz secured a \u20ac40,991 payday<\/strong> courtesy of \u20ac22,899 from the bounty prize pool!<\/p>\n
