Only the Knockout Championship remains on the schedule and both these new champions definitely have the bankroll to buy into it and compete for a slice of the <strong>\u20ac250,000 guaranteed prize pool<\/strong>. You could be playing in it for as little as a cent, more on that shortly.<\/p>\n<h2>Sholota Shines in the 7-Max PKO<\/h2>\n<p>A field of 303 players fought it out for a share of the \u20ac50,000 prize pool in the <strong>7-Max PKO<\/strong> event and Ukraine&#8217;s <strong>Kazymyr Sholota<\/strong> outlasted them all to secure a \u20ac7,341 payday. Each of the seven players who navigated their way through the shark-infested waters in this \u20ac150 buy-in tournament saw their initial investment swell to more than \u20ac1,400 when bounties were included.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Franz-Josef Kiekenbeck<\/strong> was the first of the seven finalists to bow out. <strong>Sebastian Amaya<\/strong>, who won the 6-Max event a day later, finished in sixth, with <strong>Jamie Giles<\/strong> and <strong>Victor Silva<\/strong> crashing out in fifth and fourth place, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up was set when Austria&#8217;s <strong>Tomas Patka<\/strong> dusted off his stack; Patka collected \u20ac3,783 for his efforts. Sholota locked horns with Martin Christensen of Denmark and came out on top to add \u20ac3,471 in bounties to their \u20ac3,870 first-place prize, a combined score tipping the scales at \u20ac7,341. Victory in the 6-Max came with an \u20ac8,960 score after he outlasted 213 opponents.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the finalists banked more than \u20ac1,700 for their time and effort. <strong>Kevin Killeen<\/strong> saw his tournament end abruptly in sixth place for \u20ac1,748. Killeen came close to matching his fellow countryman, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/staples-and-tsalavoutas-reach-two-irish-open-online-final-tables.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dan Wilson<\/strong><\/a>, in becoming an Irish champion of an Irish Open Online event.<\/p>\n<p>Finnish star <strong>Caimir Seire<\/strong> joined Killeen on the rail before the untimely demises of <strong>Nashid Hindocha<\/strong> and <strong>Mark Dyson<\/strong> left Amaya heads-up against <strong>Paul Hoefer<\/strong>.
