The first four of ten Irish Open Online<\/strong><\/a> champions have been crowned and although Team Online\u2019s Matthew Staples<\/strong><\/a> and Georgios Tsalavoutas<\/strong> have not managed to bag themselves a title, both players have reached two final tables each.<\/p>\n

Staples reached the final table of the opening event, the \u20ac150 Deepstack PKO<\/strong>. Some 361 players bought in and Staples outlasted almost all of them before bowing out in sixth place for a combined score worth \u20ac1,003. Staples was not the only orange diamond at that final table because Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> navigated his way to a third-place finish worth \u20ac2,266.<\/p>\n

Brazil\u2019s Henrique Batista<\/strong> took down the tournament and padded his bankroll with \u20ac8,398, which gives him plenty of ammunition for the rest of the series.<\/p>\n

Irish Open Online #02 8-Max PKO Final Table Results<\/h2>\n

Tsalavoutas first final table appearance came in the \u20ac250 8-Max PKO<\/strong>. The Greek grinder bulldozed his way to a third-place finish that tipped the scales at \u20ac5,419. Tsalavoutas eliminated ten opponents before he ran out of steam, which meant \u20ac1,824 of his prize stemmed from bounties; only the eventual champion, Irishman and former Irish Open Main Event champion Daniel Wilson<\/strong>, accumulated more bounty cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Irish Open Online #03 6-Max PKO Final Table Results<\/h2>\n

Tsalavoutas\u2019 second final table came the following day in a \u20ac350 6-Max PKO<\/strong> event. He was not as prolific in busting opponents this time around, sending only two to the showers, but he still managed to finish in fourth place for a \u20ac3,157 payday.<\/p>\n

We have to give a mention to third-place finisher Peter Kaae<\/strong> of Denmark who left 14 opponents in his wake before he crashed out. Kaae reeled in \u20ac3,065 from the bounty prize pool and a total payout worth \u20ac7,098, which was more than Dominik Maeder<\/strong> banked for their runner-up finish!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Benjamin Bauermeister<\/strong> who won the tournament for \u20ac15,647, the largest haul of the Irish Open Online so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Irish Open Online #04 Mix-Max Final Table Results<\/h2>\n

Staples reached his second Irish Open Online final table on April 5 in the \u20ac150 Mix-Max<\/strong> event. Again, Staples couldn\u2019t quite finish the job but he did reach the lofty heights of third place, a finish that added \u20ac2,940 to his bankroll.<\/p>\n

It was a tough six-handed final table that saw Patrick Lauber<\/strong> dust off his stack in sixth place, and former Crystal Palace<\/strong> and Tottenham Hotspur<\/strong> defender Anthony Gardner<\/strong> finish in fourth.<\/p>\n

Czech star Lukas Timko<\/strong> walked away with the lion\u2019s share of the \u20ac34,020 prize pool, namely \u20ac5,901.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
