His 1,845,236 chips are enough to lead the 120 players who have progressed to Day 2.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to his tournament-leading stack, Castanheira has accumulated <strong>$231.25 worth of bounty payments<\/strong>, which means he has already recouped his tournament buy-in and then some.<\/p>\n<p>Second-placed <strong>Viorel-Ioan Popa<\/strong> has 1,621,729 chips in their stack and will fancy their chances of going all the way when Day 2 commences on March 7.<\/p>\n<p>Slightly further down the chip counts, you find a trio of players who are regulars in high-stakes events. <strong>Ben Warrington<\/strong> (1,560,776), <strong>Joshua McCully<\/strong> (1,368,221), and <strong>Christophe De Muelder<\/strong> (1,333,662) have done their chances of glory no harm at all by getting of to blistering starts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Team Online<\/a>\u2019s <strong>Matthew Staples<\/strong> is through to Day 2 but with a shallower stack of 356,274 chips. Staples has not yet bagged a bounty but is guaranteed at least a min-cash for his efforts, as are all Day 2 players.<\/p>\n<p>There are 16 Day 1s left, including today, if you want to catch the Luxembourg-based grinder.
