Half Price Sunday<\/strong><\/a> ran on February 27 and saw 12 of our most popular Sunday tournaments keep their usual guarantees but have their buy-ins slashed in half, hence the name! Those 12 tournaments, which cost between $0.55 and $265 to enter<\/strong>, paid out an impressive $611,425<\/strong> to partypoker players.<\/p>\n

The Half Price Sunday \u2013 Super $530<\/strong> was the biggest tournament of the promotion in terms of buy-in. Some 453 players took advantage of the event being only $265 to enter and created a $113,250 prize pool.<\/p>\n

Our very own Jaime Staples<\/strong><\/a> narrowly missed out on finishing in the money, bowing out in 89th place with 79 places paid. That 79th place paid out $279.43 plus any bounties players collected on the way. This increased to $915.59 by the time the nine-handed final table was reached.<\/p>\n

“Trepanation”<\/strong> was the first o the nine finalists to crash out; they walked away with a combined prize worth $1,594. “LawyerDad68”<\/strong> ($1,801), “dambo1975”<\/strong> ($2,516), and “Giddyupper”<\/strong> ($2,046) joined Trepanation on the sidelines, leaving only five players in the hunt for what would be a five-figure haul.<\/p>\n

“manutho”<\/strong> saw their tournament end in a fifth-place finish worth $5,360 before “V.F.A”<\/strong> and “Ilovegolf2021”<\/strong> dusted off their stacks and collected $4,299 and $5,488 respectively.<\/p>\n

The latter\u2019s exit left “crankgetstacked”<\/strong> and “Freddnn”<\/strong> heads-up for the title. Both locked in almost $7,300 from the main prize pool but the bounties were massive at this stage. crankgetstacked bagged his 12th bounty of the evening, meaning they added $11,223 to their main prize pool payout for a total score worth $18,515, leaving Freddann to walk away with $9,798.<\/p>\n

Half Price Sunday Results<\/h2>\n

Some 28,196 players bought into the Half Price Sunday tournament but only 12 of them get to call themselves a poker champion. crankgetstacked was the promotion\u2019s biggest winner courtesy of their $18,515 payday, but both “costakoppp”<\/strong> and “ppoker0”<\/strong> walked away with a five-figure prize, namely $14,291 and $10,532.<\/p>\n
