The latest instalment of the ever-popular KO Series<\/strong><\/a> got underway this weekend, and do so in some style. More than a dozen partypoker players became KO Series champions during the opening weekend, with “JamminBenjamin”<\/strong> being one of the biggest winners courtesy of taking down the first $215 Weekender<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

$150,000 was guaranteed in the KO Series #01-H Weekender<\/strong> but the 1,187 entrants meant we paid out $237,400! Only 176 of those starters made it through to Day 2, each winning a slice of the main prize pool in addition to any bounties they picked up along the way.<\/p>\n

Each of the nine finalists secured payouts of more than $3,000 when bounties were included. “Dolitilei”<\/strong> was the first of the finalists to bow out. They were joined on the rail first by “giu1iano”<\/strong> then by “mc.gabbabong99”<\/strong>, “EducateYourself,”<\/strong> and “Gn4si.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fourth place and a combined prize worth more than $10,000 went to “RieBei”<\/strong> before “WrongAgain”<\/strong> crashed out in third for $11,810. That elimination left “Scelevco”<\/strong> heads-up against “JamminBenjamin.”<\/strong> Both players locked in more than $15,200 from the main prize pool, but the bounty payments were massive at this stage.<\/p>\n

JamminBenjamin got the job done and bolstered their $15,234 top prize with $16,609 from the bounty prize pool. Our runner-up added $2,906 to their $15,209 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

Schwerer Gustav Reels In $37,688 Score<\/h2>\n

“Schwerer Gustav”<\/strong> became a KO Series champion and $37,688 richer thanks to walking away with the KO Series #07-HR 8-Max<\/strong> title. The champion navigated their way through a 188-strong field to secure the lion\u2019s share of the guarantee-busting $188,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n

With bounties included, none of the eight finalists won less than $3,992 for their $1,050 investment. “Nonstoper,”<\/strong> “procop13,”<\/strong> “nofear444”<\/strong> and “dududantas”<\/strong> were the first casualties of the final table, the latter scooping $10,554 for their efforts.<\/p>\n

Each exit saw a sizeable jump in payouts. “C4ctu5”<\/strong> banked $11,148 for their fourth-place finish, with “itsasecretuknow”<\/strong> padding their bankroll with $14,380 after bowing out in third.<\/p>\n

Schwerer Gustav and “BolsoLIXO”<\/strong> locked horns heads-up having each banked more than $14,200. BolsoLIXO fell at the final hurdle and saw $6,414 worth of bounties hit their account. However, Schwerer Gustav received $23,382 from the bounty prize pool in addition to their $14,306 first-place prize.<\/p>\n
