Only 87 of those starters progressed to the Day 2 on January 3, each of them finding themselves in the money.<\/p>\n<p>Some of poker\u2019s elite players joined Andersson on Day 2. They included <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/poker-masters-victories-for-watson-and-nemeth.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mike Watson<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Jans Arends<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/sikorski-leads-star-studded-millions-online-main-event-final-table.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sebastian Sikorski<\/strong><\/a>, former MILLIONS Online Main Event champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/2019-millions-online-champion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Benjamin Chalot<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/astedt-takes-down-1050-partypoker-championship-for-186k.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong><\/a>, and <strong>Christian Rudolph<\/strong>. Cash they did, but they all fell shy of the final table.<\/p>\n<h2>Final Table Set<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pascal Lefrancois<\/strong>, winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/lefrancois-wins-back-to-back-25k-super-high-rollers.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>$25,500 Super High Roller<\/strong><\/a> last week, finished this tournament in seventh-place, the first casualty of the final table. With bounties included, Lefrancois walked away with more than $21,000 for his efforts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ales Matyasko<\/strong> of the Czech Republic and <strong>Vikanty Shegal<\/strong> of Canada were the next pair of players who fell short of the victory. Matyasko busted 15 opponents on the way to finishing sixth, so his $18,920 main prize pool payout was boosted by an impressive $19,375 worth of bounty payments.<\/p>\n<p>Recent WPTWOC Main Event champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/gostisa-stuns-peters-to-win-2021-wptwoc-main-event.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rok Gostisa<\/strong><\/a> crashed out in fourth for a combined $49,406 before <strong>Alexander Stacey<\/strong>\u2019s impressive run ended in a third-place finish worth $76,606 to the Englishman.<\/p>\n<p>Heads-up pitted Andersson heads-up against <strong>Fabio Luongo<\/strong>. Luongo bagged $141,030 for a sixth-place finish in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/petrone-crowned-millions-online-main-event-champion.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MILLIONS Online Main Event<\/strong><\/a>, and another $116,023 when he busted from this event in second-place. Just look at some of the 169 players who navigated their way through the shark-infested waters into Day 2.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fabio Luongo<\/strong>, <strong>Stevan Chew<\/strong>, <strong>Pavel Plusev<\/strong>, <strong>Kenny Hallaert<\/strong>, <strong>Joao Simao<\/strong>, <strong>Anton Wigg<\/strong>, <strong>Joakim Andersson<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wpt-online-series-fabio-sperling-wins-wpt500.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Fabio Sperling<\/strong><\/a> were just a selection of stars who saw a return on their $320 investment.<\/p>\n<p>All but two of the seven finalists secured a five-figure prize: <strong>Daniel Smiljkovic<\/strong> and <strong>Vojtech Skalak<\/strong> being those players, although they did scoop $6,605 and $8,806 respectively.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathias Siljander<\/strong> ($12,075), <strong>Aleksandr Shepel<\/strong> ($17,801), and Julio Chia (26,145) came up short in their quest of becoming a MILLIONS Online champion. Chia\u2019s demise left Diaz heads-up against Russian grinder <strong>Viacheslav Zaslavskii<\/strong>, and Diaz got the job done.
