Two more partypoker players became MILLIONS Online<\/strong><\/a> champions on December 20 and received huge payouts as a result. Brazil\u2019s Eduardo Silva<\/strong> triumphed in the $530 buy-in Super 500 and secured a $109,307 score, while Canadian Timothy Cavallin<\/strong> helped himself to the $61,668 top prize of the $109 Grand Prix event.<\/p>\n

Silva Shines in the Super 500<\/h2>\n

The Super 500<\/strong> featured a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool but paid out $683,000 thanks to 1,366 players buying in across several starting flights. Some 206 of those starters made it through to Day 2, each of them in the money.<\/p>\n

Dozens of poker\u2019s elite players saw a return on their $530 investment. Samuel Vousden<\/strong><\/a>, Benjamin Chalot<\/strong><\/a>, and Team partypoker\u2019s Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a>, Jaime Staples<\/strong>, Day Kotoviezy<\/strong>, Joao Simao<\/strong><\/a>, and Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> all cashed.<\/p>\n

Haxton cashed but fell short of the final table<\/p><\/div>\n

All but one of the nine finalists walked away with at least five figures for the efforts. Ninth-place finisher Morten Hvam<\/strong> netted $8,637.<\/p>\n

Pascal Hartmann and Ioannis Angelou Konstas<\/strong> were the next casualties; they won $10,993 and $13,925 respectively. Ying Ho<\/strong>, Joshua Gebissa<\/strong>, and Yannick Schumaker<\/strong> then fell by the wayside to leave only three players in the hunt for the title.<\/p>\n

Those three became two when Maxim Mamonov<\/strong> of Russia bowed out in third and collected $51,618. Nino Ullmann<\/strong> and Eduardo Silva<\/strong> fought it out one-on-one for the title, and it was Silva who emerged from the battle victoriously. Silva scooped $109,307 for his victory, leaving Ullman to console himself with the $75,204 runner-up prize.<\/p>\n

Cavallin Crowned MILLIONS Online Grand Prix Champion<\/h2>\n

Almost 4,300 players bought into the MILLIONS Online Grand Prix<\/strong> to ensure the $300,000 guarantee was surpassed by $129,709. Canada\u2019s Timothy Cavallin<\/strong> outlasted all the entrants and became a worthy champion of this MILLIONS Online event.<\/p>\n

Day 2 saw 639 in-the-money players return to the partypoker tables. All returning players were in the money and guaranteed $221, but each had their eye on the $61,668 top prize.<\/p>\n

The likes of Team partypoker\u2019s Day Kotoviezy<\/strong><\/a> and Jamie Staples<\/strong><\/a> were early casualties. Others who busted before the final table included Andrey Pateychuk<\/strong>, Ronan Sweeney<\/strong>, Adam Neal<\/strong>, and Lars Kamphues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Day Kotoviezy racked up yet another MILLIONS Online cash<\/p><\/div>\n

The final table was the home to a trio of Brazilians, but two ducked out early doors. Guilherme Carmo<\/strong> and Alysson Bruno<\/strong> finished in ninth and eighths, before Peter Toth<\/strong> and Nuno Ullmann<\/strong>, the latter having finished second in the Super 500, crashed out.<\/p>\n

Ullmann\u2019s exit meant the remaining players were now guaranteed five figures for their efforts. Andrey Coelho<\/strong> got his hands on the $12,705 fifth-place prize, before British grinder Gareth Gardner<\/strong> helped himself to the $18,753 fourth place prize.<\/p>\n

Sebastian Van Wonterg<\/strong> was the penultimate elimination of the night. The Dane\u2019s exit in third came with $27,986 in prize money.<\/p>\n

Heads-up pitted James Wals<\/strong>h against Timothy Cavallin<\/strong> in a battle for the title and the lion\u2019s share of the prize pool. Cavallin came out of the scrap with the $61,668 top prize in toe, leaving Walsh to walk away with $41,622 for his bridesmaid finish.<\/p>\n
