Today saw the six players from Group B of the PartyPoker Premier League Mixed Game Championship take their seats in the Playboy Club London for their first of three heats in this fantastic event. As with the first heat of Group A, the game played was No Limit Hold’em.<\/p>\n

Today’s six players were Sorel Mizzi, Andy Frankenberger, Mike Sexton, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Ben Carpenter and Andrew Feldman, the latter losing a large percentage of his stack when he got his money in, in a four-bet pot with versus Carpenter’s on a flop. Many lesser players would have panicked and wasted their chips but Feldman bided his time well, avoided marginal confrontations and generally played very well.<\/p>\n

After playing the short-stack for a couple of hours he doubled up through Carpenter when his ran into and the final board read to give the young Brit some breathing room. Shortly after he made a straight with to double through Frankenberger and from that moment on he never looked back.<\/p>\n

He sent Carpenter to the rail with against Carpenter’s and then busted out Mike Sexton when he raised all in on the river of a board reading with and Sexton called with , to set up a heads up battle with Frankenberger.<\/p>\n

The fight only lasted one hand, Frankenberger raising from the button then committing his stack with after Feldman moved all in with . A ten on the flop was enough to bust the current WPT Player of the Year and Feldman, thanks to using his double up card, now sits atop the Group B leaderboard with 16 points and is all but guaranteed a place on the final table!<\/p>\n
