The curtain came down on the flight when only 57 players remained, and three Team partypoker players were among those Day 1A survivors.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/joni-jouhkimainen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> finished the night with 5,911,938 chips, enough for 26th place on the leaderboard. The Finnish star came close to winning a WSOP bracelet recently. He finished fifth in a <strong>$5,000 No-Limit Hold&#8217;em\/Pot-Limit Omaha<\/strong> mixed event in Las Vegas. Jouhkimainen then finished second in both a \u20ac<strong>5,000 PLO<\/strong> tournament, and a <strong>\u20ac25,000 No-Limit Hold&#8217;em High Roller <\/strong>in the Czech Republic. Is this the tournament that gives our hero some redemption?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Staples<\/strong> of Team Online fame was one of Jouhkimainen&#8217;s teammates who also made it through the shark-infested Day 1A waters. Staples bagged up 5,539,866 chips, placing him 28th right now.<\/p>\n<p>Brazilian sensation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/yuri-dzivielevski\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Yuri Dzivielevski<\/strong><\/a> was the third orange diamond to make it through to Day 2. Dzivielevski&#8217;s 3,104,045 stack put him in 41st place. The Brazilian, like Jouhkimainen, came close to winning a bracelet. Clack is better-known as <strong>&#8220;Airdraken&#8221;<\/strong>, the alias he has used to win more than $1.3 million from online poker tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>Hot on Clack&#8217;s heels is the man of the money <strong>Ali Imsirovic<\/strong>, who has 17,180,703 chips. Imsirovic has cashed in 34 high roller events this year alone, and has won 14 of them! His winnings from those events weigh in at an eye-popping $6,028,321. He is definitely one to watch now he has amassed a huge stack.<\/p>\n<p>Other stars safely through to the money places include <strong>Sebastian Sikorski<\/strong> (15,259,822), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/daniel-dvoress-takes-down-the-wpt-montreal-mike-sexton-classic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Daniel Dvoress<\/strong><\/a> (13,671,33, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/ioannis-angelou-konstas-wins-2020-irish-open-online-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Ioannis Angelou Konstas<\/strong><\/a> (13,073,090). Recent WPT champion <strong>Gediminas Uselis<\/strong> (9,833,756) is through, as are <strong>Joe Kuether<\/strong> (8,121,985), <strong>Francois Billard<\/strong> (5,869,268), <strong>Adrian Mateos<\/strong> (5,027,294), and <strong>Dario Sammartino<\/strong> (2,904,314).<\/p>\n<h2>Day 1B Runs December 19<\/h2>\n<p>Day 1B of the MILLIONS Online Main Event runs on <strong>December 19 at 19:05 GMT<\/strong>.
