Some 1,125 partypoker players bought in over the course of several Day 1s, and the 168 surviving players returned to the action on Day 2 on October 11.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the Day 2 players were in the money, and each had an eye on the $37,047 top prize. Establish pros including <strong>Andy Black<\/strong>, <strong>Sylvain Loosli<\/strong>, <strong>Robin Ylitalo<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/wpt-online-series-fabio-sperling-wins-wpt500.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Fabio Sperling<\/strong><\/a>, and our very own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/matthew-staples-wins-93000-in-partypoker-million.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Matthew Staples<\/strong><\/a> cashed but failed to reach the seven-handed final table. Staples crashed out in 11th place for a $2,557 score.<\/p>\n<p>Swedish legend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/astedt-swaps-two-hole-cards-for-four-still-wins.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong><\/a> navigated his way to the final table, although his time there was short-lived. Astedt bowed out in seventh for $4,369, much to the relief of the other six finalists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alessandro Cirillo<\/strong> and <strong>Matthew Sherman<\/strong> saw their tournaments end abruptly. The elimination of the latter locking in a five-figure prize for the remaining four players.<\/p>\n<p>Austria&#8217;s <strong>Fabio Breitfuss<\/strong> was the first player to net five figures, his fourth-place finish came with $11,783. Fellow Austrian <strong>Manfred Hermann<\/strong> joined Breitfuss on the rail, doing so with $17,312 more in his partypoker account that a couple of days ago.<\/p>\n<p>Zhilin found himself heads-up against one of online poker&#8217;s greats, <strong>Jans Arends<\/strong>. Zhilin did not let that faze him, and he emerged victorious to scoop $37,047, resigning Arends to a $25,471 consolation prize. Everyone who reached the seven-handed final table enjoyed at least $1,243 from their $22 investment; <strong>Mikalay Burtyl<\/strong> got his hands on that sum when he fell in seventh.<\/p>\n<p>Brazilian pair<strong> Joao Pedro Lobo<\/strong> ($1,672) and <strong>Alonne Martins Fernandes<\/strong> ($2,343) were the next players to bust, before <strong>Peter Shaw<\/strong> ($3,412), and <strong>Jim Cooke<\/strong> (5,067) crashed and burned, leaving <strong>Dominic Burn<\/strong> heads-up against Slovenian grinder <strong>Marko Blazic<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The one-on-one battle went Burn&#8217;s way, and he became a worthy recipient of the $11,272 top prize.
