Some 486 players have bought in across Day 1A and Day 1B, and 214 of those are safely through to Day 2.<\/p>\n<p>Desnos dominated proceedings on Day 1A, bagging up 796,500 chips, the equivalent of 266 big blinds for Day 2. It is quite a remarkable stack considering Desnos started with 100,000 chips only nine 60-minute levels earlier. He soared to the top of the chip counts after busting Turkey&#8217;s <strong>Zorlu Er<\/strong> during the sixth level. The Iranian grinder turned his 100,000 starting stack into 699,500, earning him the title of Day 1B chip leader and placing him second overall.<\/p>\n<p>Two other Day 1B players ended the evening with more than 600,000 chips. <strong>Harout Ghazarian<\/strong> crammed 659,500 chips into his overnight bag, while fellow Canadian <strong>Harpreet Gill<\/strong> finished with 621,000 chips.<\/p>\n<p>Gill won a mammoth-sized pot when he found himself on the right side of an aces versus kings confrontation. Gill five-bet shoved with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/as.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> and <strong>Mario Mosboeck<\/strong> called with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kd.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\">.
