{"id":1357,"date":"2009-10-03T12:26:23","date_gmt":"2009-10-03T17:26:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/?p=1357"},"modified":"2019-11-01T11:16:57","modified_gmt":"2019-11-01T11:16:57","slug":"pokernews-cup-melbourne-day-1a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/pokernews-cup-melbourne-day-1a.html","title":{"rendered":"PokerNews Cup &#8211; Melbourne &#8211; Day 1A"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Our correspondent Sinead Quigley has the latest from Melbourne. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The 2009 PokerNews Cup got underway in Melbourne on Friday 2<sup>nd<\/sup> October at 10 minutes after midday.\u00a0 The Main Event is a\u00a0four day event with\u00a0two starting days and a Day 1B repechage.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The 171 players who opted to start on day 1A included 9 players sporting the PartyPoker banner.\u00a0 The\u00a0nine were made up of\u00a0one of the Australian $3.5K online package winners Jeff Woods and\u00a0six Palladium Lounge members in the form of\u00a0Jason Brown, King Tung Man, Luke Marburg, Matthew Kepitis,Mark Ellis and Peter Ockenden.
