The 2021 WPT Online Series<\/strong> is drawing to a thrilling conclusion and one of our own has a chance to become a World Poker Tour champion.<\/p>\n

Team Online\u2019s Jaime Staples<\/strong><\/a> has navigated his way through the majority of the 2,088-strong field in the WPT500: $1M Gtd<\/strong> event to take his rightful place at the nine-handed final table.<\/p>\n

Each of the nine finalists is guaranteed to take home no less than $12,251, but all nine have one eye on the massive $160,210 top prize and, of course, the title of champion.<\/p>\n

Staples has plenty of work ahead of him because he sits down in ninth-place with the shortest stack. The popular pro and epic streamer returns to the fray armed with 61,034,378 chips, or approximately 20 big blinds. It is not an idea spot, but Staples still has a realistic shot at WPT500 glory.<\/p>\n

Klas Lofberg<\/strong> of Sweden is the man to catch going into the WPT500 final table. Lofberg is armed with a colossal stack of 238,748,314 chips. Lofberg leads second-place Teun Mulder<\/strong><\/a> (189,788,173) by 48,960,141 chips, so the ball is firmly in the Swede\u2019s court.<\/p>\n

Everyone in the chasing pack has earned the right to a place at the final table, and any of them will become a worthy champion.<\/p>\n

David Afework<\/strong> (130,520,198) and Jon Santos<\/strong> (112,179,481) both have more than 100 million chips at their disposal. Do not write off the likes of Sergei Koliakov<\/strong>, Lukas Hafner<\/strong>, Henning Andre<\/strong>, or Timo Borchmann<\/strong> either.<\/p>\n

WPT Online Series Main Event Down to 23; Field Still Ridiculously Stacked<\/h2>\n

Only 23 players remain in the hunt for the WPT Online Series Main Event<\/strong> title, which comes with a massive cash prize worth $526,561 thanks to the $3 million guarantee being surpassed by $195,000. There may only be 23 players remaining but what a 23 they are!<\/p>\n

Sebastian Henao<\/strong> is the man to catch going into the penultimate day\u2019s action courtesy of his 25,199,310 stack. High stakes guru Daniel Dvoress<\/strong><\/a> (15,483,228) occupies second-place in the chip counts and is probably the neutral\u2019s favourite to walk away with the half-million dollars top prize.<\/p>\n

Such luminaries as Fabiano Kovalski<\/strong> (15,218,061), WSOP bracelet winner Christian Rudolph<\/strong> (13,300,776), German superstar Rainer Kempe<\/strong><\/a> (12,742,432), and Goran Mandic<\/strong> (12,271,533) sit back down with top 10 stacks.<\/p>\n

Others to keep an eye out for on June 1 as we play down to the final table, include Stoyan Obreshkov<\/strong> (8,216,427), Sergei Denisov<\/strong> (6,414,398), Martin Mulsow<\/strong> (5,987,328), Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong><\/a> (3,500,937), and Yuri Dzivielevski<\/strong><\/a> (3,057,305).<\/p>\n
