The WPT Online Series<\/strong><\/a> may be heading towards a thrilling conclusion but there is no signs of it slowing down with plenty of big scores being enjoyed. Both Matthew Stumpf<\/strong> and Jonas Gjelstad<\/strong> won WPT Online Series events, boosting their bankrolls in time for what is a massive final weekend.<\/p>\n

Stumpf Scoops 7-Max Knockout Title<\/h2>\n

Matthew Stumpf<\/strong> outlasted a field of 211 in the WPT #31 7-Max Knockout<\/strong> title and bagged the lion\u2019s share of the $105,000 prize pool. Stumpf\u2019s total haul, with bounties included, weighed in at $19,726, which he banked after defeating Latvia\u2019s Aleksejs Meless<\/strong> heads-up; the Latvian star reeled in a $10,599 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

Others who reached the final table, but fell short of glory, included third-place finisher Audrius Stakelis<\/strong> ($7,662) of Lithuania, who is no stranger to going deep in major tournaments. Julian Selinger<\/strong> also navigated his way to the final table; he fell in fourth for $5,759.<\/p>\n

Gjelstad Shines During Omaha PKO<\/h2>\n

Jonas Gjelstad<\/strong> secured a $12,860 payout and the title of WPT Online Series champion after topping a field of 50 in the $1,050 WPT #32 Omaha Knockout<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The seven-handed final table was a star-studded affair, and any one of them would have become a worthy champion. Such luminaries as Daniel Colpoys<\/strong> and Boris Angelov<\/strong> were among the finalists but they crashed out in fourth and third place respectively for scores of $3,223 and $7,222.<\/p>\n

Heads-up saw Gjelstad lock horns with Christos Argyriadis<\/strong>. Gjelstad got the job done and his hands on $12,860, leaving Argyriadis to collect a $10,855 consolation prize.<\/p>\n

WPT Online Series Events This Weekend<\/h2>\n

The final weekend of the WPT Online Series<\/a> is extremely busy and full of incredible tournaments.<\/p>\n

Time is running to get into the WPT500<\/strong>, Super50<\/strong>, and Super5<\/strong>, so make sure you do not miss out on the chance to take one of those down.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s Day 1B of the $3 million guaranteed Main Event<\/strong>. A ton of satellites, plus a 50-seat guaranteed Mega Satellite, take place this weekend, giving everyone the opportunity to become a WPT Main Event champion.
