Changes to be made from May 12, making partypoker an even safer place to play<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

As part of partypoker\u2019s commitment to keeping the game fair for all players, we are going to ask players to select new aliases in time for this year\u2019s WPT\u00ae Online Series<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

From Wednesday, May 12, 2021, between 06:00-08:00 BST, players will be presented with a pop-up window the very next time they log into the poker client, requesting they select a new alias.<\/p>\n

Please note: if you were able to change your alias on May 11, you are not required to change it again<\/em><\/p>\n

This change, along with active monitoring and blocking all forms of software that could provide an unfair advantage to certain players, is part of partypoker\u2019s ongoing efforts to give players a safe and fun environment to play.<\/p>\n

Player names will be subject to partypoker rules regarding appropriate language, with certain words and phrases blocked, and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
\nThe changes will be implemented in time for the start of this year\u2019s WPT Online Series, which will run from Friday, May 14, to Wednesday, June 2.<\/p>\n

This is the second time partypoker has made such a change, after requiring players to change their aliases in June 2019. The use of HUDs (heads-up displays) were banned, improvements were made to the MyGame<\/strong><\/a> tool to help players review their play and partypoker made a heavy investment in its game integrity as part of a series of software updates to improve the playing experience.<\/p>\n

Vadim Soloveychik<\/strong>, partypoker Director, said: \u201cAt partypoker, we remain committed to our promise to keep the game fair and safe for all our players and asking players to change their aliases is one of the important measures that will help us do this.<\/p>\n
