Vicent Bosca Ramon<\/strong> is a POWERFEST champion after the United Kingdom-based Spaniard navigated his way to the top of the pile in the $5,200 High Roller<\/strong> event on April 22.<\/p>\n

A compact field of 60 players took to the partypoker tables in the 23rd numbered POWERFEST event, and created a $300,000 prize pool. Only the top 11 finishers received a slice of this pie, so spare a thought for Niall McKenna<\/strong> who finished in 12th place with only the unwanted title of bubble boy to show for their efforts.<\/p>\n

Such luminaries as Thomas Muehloecker<\/strong>, Stephen Chidwick<\/strong><\/a>, Joakim Andersson<\/strong><\/a>, and Elio Fox<\/strong> cashed but fell short of the six-handed final table, Fox being the player who crashed out in seventh place.<\/p>\n

Canadian Jonah Silverstein<\/strong> crashed out of the final table in sixth and collected $15,529. Samuel Vousden<\/strong> followed Silverstein to the cashier’s desk to bank the $19,686 fifth-place prize.<\/p>\n

The final table became even more short-handed when Fabrizio Gonzalez<\/strong> ran out of steam, and more so when Ioannis Angelou Konstas<\/strong><\/a> fell by the wayside in third. Those two Goliaths netted scores worth $26,104 and $36,486 respectively.<\/p>\n

Heads-up pitted Ramon against Sam Greenwood<\/strong><\/a>, Greenwood being one of the biggest winners on the partypoker LIVE circuit. The heads-up pair opted to strike a deal for the remaining prize pool, which resulted in Greenwood finishing second for $69,248 and Ramon banking $76,903 and the title of POWERFEST champion.<\/p>\n
