This latest triumph came with almost $135,000 in prize money!<\/p>\n<p>The tournament drew in 114 players who each paid $5,200 for the chance to become the latest POWERFEST High Roller champion. Only 20 of those starters won a slice of the $570,000 prize pool, <strong>Shawn Daniels<\/strong> falling in 21st place and bursting the money bubble.<\/p>\n<p>Daniels\u2019 exit locked up at least $10,000 for the surviving players. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/mulder-wins-hr-big-game-as-five-team-partypoker-members-cash.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Teun Mulder<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/sosia-jiang-wins-big-game-to-become-a-wptwoc-event-winner.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Sosia Jiang<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/nick-petrangelo-pads-his-bankroll-with-356500.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Nick Petrangelo<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Alex Foxen<\/strong>, <strong>Artur Martirosian,<\/strong> and <strong>Stephen O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong> were among those who cashed. Swedish <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\">online poker<\/a> legend <strong>Niklas Astedt<\/strong> busted in eight for $16,947 and set the official final table.<\/p>\n<p>Our very own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/jouhkimainen-wins-powerfest-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> was the final table\u2019s first casualty. The Finnish Team partypoker star walked away with $20,384 for his seventh-place finish.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Linus Loeliger<\/strong> and high-stakes guru <strong>Timothy Adams<\/strong> joined Jouhkimainen on the rail, doing so with prizes worth $25,199 and $32,354 respectively. Fourth place and $43,964 went to <strong>Joakim Andersson<\/strong>, before Pascal Hartmann busted in third place and collected $64,143.<\/p>\n<p>Hartmann\u2019s demise left Darren Elias and <strong>Marius Gierse<\/strong> heads-up for the title and the tournament\u2019s six-figure top prize. Elias, a four-time World Poker Tour champion, defeated his Austrian opponents and reeled in the $134,480 top prize. Winning poker tournaments seems easy for Kelopuro, but this victory was tough thanks to some of thegame\u2019s superstars being among the final 52 who made it through to Day 2.<\/p>\n<p>Such luminaries as <strong>Joseph Cheong<\/strong>, <strong>Ami Barer<\/strong>, <strong>Aleksejs Ponakovs<\/strong>, Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/patrick-leonard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Samuel Vousden<\/strong>, and <strong>Jens Lakemeier<\/strong> all reached Day 2 but fell short of a final table berth.<\/p>\n<p>As did <strong>Darrell Goh<\/strong>, <strong>Dmitry Yurasov<\/strong>, and <strong>Alex Foxen<\/strong>, the latter busting in tenth with seven seats at the final table.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roman Sanarov<\/strong> and <strong>Luan Hertmann<\/strong> exited from the final table before <strong>Thomas Muehloecker<\/strong> Crashed and burned in fifth. Muehloecker\u2019s total prize, with bounties included, came in at $25,155.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Theo Arnoldi<\/strong> bowed out in fourth, and <strong>Simon Mattsson<\/strong>\u2019s tournament ended in a third place finish worth a combined $38,179. Kelopuro and <strong>Arnaud Enselme<\/strong> battled heads-up for the title of champion, a battle Kelopuro emerged victoriously from.
