Team partypoker\u2019s Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a> is a POWERFEST<\/a> champion after the Finnish superstar took down the $5,200 buy-in High Roller event on April 13.<\/p>\n

A compact yet stellar field of 59 entrants competed for a slice of the $295,000 prize pool, but only 11 of them walked away with a return on their initial investment.<\/p>\n

Michael Addamo<\/strong> was the 12th place finisher and, therefore, the player who burst the money bubble. Addamo\u2019s elimination paved the way for such luminaries as Sergi Reixach<\/strong>, Eelis Parssinen<\/strong>, and final table bubble boy David Peters<\/strong> to cash in.<\/p>\n

Arseniy Malinov<\/strong>\u2019s time at the seven-handed final table was short-lived because he was the first player out of the door. Malinov collected $12,774.<\/p>\n

Jouhkimainen\u2019s teammate Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong><\/a> bowed out in sixth for $15,270 before Christopher Brewer<\/strong> saw his tournament end in fifth place, a finish worth $19,358.<\/p>\n

The prize money kept on growing with the exit of Benjamin Rolle<\/strong> ($25,669), and Andreii Derzhupilskyi<\/strong> ($35,877), the latter\u2019s elimination setting up a one-on-one battle between Jouhkimainen and former MILLIONS Online champion Jon Van Fleet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Our hero got the job done and his hands on $88,515, leaving Van Fleet to bank $55,201.<\/p>\n

Nuter Leads the Race For $480K in the Super High Roller<\/h2>\n

Timothy Nuter<\/strong> is the man to catch going into Day 2 of the $25,500 Super Hight Roller<\/strong> where more than $480,000 awaits the eventual champion.<\/p>\n

Sixty-four players bought in and created a $1,600,000 prize pool, $600,000 more than the advertised $1 million guarantee. Only 11 of those starters cashed, the 11 players who progressed to Day 2.<\/p>\n

A whole of stars bought in on Day 1, as you would expect in such a prestigious event. Team partypoker pros Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a>, Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a>, and Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong> bought in twice but failed to punch their Day 2 tickets.<\/p>\n

British superstar Stephen Chidwick<\/strong> dusted off his stack in 12th place to bring the curtain down on Day 1 proceedings.<\/p>\n

Day 2 sees 11 of poker\u2019s greats return to the partypoker felt, each guaranteed to walk away with at least $54,236. Should they make it into fifth-place or higher, they will secure a six-figure prize.<\/p>\n

The chip stacks are quite lopsided when play resumes at 19:05 BST. Nuter, Andras Nemeth<\/strong>, and Luuk Gieles<\/strong> hold 3,764,357 of the 6,400,000 chips in play, while half the returning field have 25 big blinds<\/a> or less. Sami Kelopuro<\/strong> is the player bringing up the rear. The Finn only has 45,767 chips in his stack, less than three big blinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
