It was an expensive and disappointing day for Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/isaac-haxton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jason-koon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a>. Both busted early into the Mega High Roller proceedings and the second bullet fired by both superstars was no good either.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/daniel-dvoress-takes-down-the-wpt-montreal-mike-sexton-classic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Daniel Dvoress<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/chess-grandmaster-ladva-turns-530-into-525k.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Justin Bonomo<\/strong><\/a> were two other entrants who dusted off two stacks, the latter navigating his way to a ninth-place finish on bullet number two.<\/p>\n<p>High-stakes guru <strong>Timothy Adams<\/strong> was the penultimate elimination of the evening. Adams busted at the hands of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/addamo-does-it-again-wins-wpt-montreal-super-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Michael Addamo<\/strong><\/a>, as so many have over the years. Adams ripped it in for 2,214,900 chips on a <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ts.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qh.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/9c.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/6d.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> board with 1,924,000 in the pot. The <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/2h.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> landed on the river and Adams burst the final table bubble.<\/p>\n<h2>Loehnert Claims The Chip Lead<\/h2>\n<p>Loehnert soared into the chip lead near the end of Day 1. The monster-sized pot slid to Loehnert and Addamo\u2019s stack halved.<\/p>\n<p>Day 1 ended when <strong>Jans Arends<\/strong> busted in seventh-place and popped the money bubble. The blinds were 50,000\/100,000\/12,500a and Arends got his 842,276 stack in with <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/qs.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/th.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> from the button and found himself against the <img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/ad.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/wp-content\/plugins\/handy-cards\/cards\/kc.gif\" class=\"handy-cards\" width=\"25\" height=\"15\"> of Loehnert. None of them will want to claim that because more than $1.3 million is waiting for the eventual champion.<\/p>\n<p>The ball is firmly in Loehnert\u2019s court thanks to him having three-times as many chips as his nearest rival, Addamo. You cannot write off the chances of any of Loehnert\u2019s opponents, especially Addamo who has an incredible record in high roller events.<\/p>\n<p>Russian pro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/martirosian-wins-player-of-the-championship-after-thrilling-finale.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Artur Martirosian<\/strong><\/a> will fancy his chances of glory because he returns to the fray with 47 big blinds.
