The WPT500\u2122 series<\/strong><\/a> is just a few weeks away, where players will be given the chance to play in two prodigious events paying out $1,000,000 in prizes.<\/p>\n

Running on partypoker from Sunday, March 7, 2021, to Tuesday, March 23, 2021<\/strong>, the series will jump straight into the high-profile action, with Day 1A of the WPT500 8-Max<\/strong> kicking off the series.<\/p>\n

The WPT500 8-Max will guarantee an enormous $1,000,000<\/strong>, which players can buy into for $530<\/strong>, giving excellent value for money. There will be plenty of opportunities for players to get involved, with nine Day 1 flights<\/strong> being held before Day 2 takes place on Monday, March 15. The final table will play out the following day and the champion will be crowned.<\/p>\n

Day 2 and the final table of the WPT500 8-Max will be live-streamed on partypokerTV \u2013 partypoker\u2019s Twitch channel<\/strong>. Commentary will be provided in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian.<\/p>\n

Last year\u2019s WPT500 tournament proved to be extremely competitive, as the event ended in a four-handed chop which saw Fabio Sperling<\/strong><\/a> claim the top prize of $281,125.<\/p>\n

The focus of the schedule will shift towards the progressive knockout format from Monday, March 15, when the WPT500 Knockout<\/strong> gets underway. This tournament also comes with a $1,000,000 guarantee, giving players a second chance to win an esteemed WPT\u00ae event.
\nOnce again, the buy-in will be $530, but this tournament will be an 8-Max Progressive Knockout event. Day 1A will be made up of eight flights before Day 2 on Monday, March 22 and the final table on Tuesday, March 23.<\/p>\n

There will be plenty of variation within the rest of the schedule, with 6-Max, 7-Max, 8-Max, Mix-Max and PKO events for players to get involved in.<\/p>\n

The Super50 Knockout<\/strong> is another event offering outstanding value, with a $400,000 prize pool<\/strong> available for a $55 buy-in<\/strong>. Meanwhile, the High Roller comes with a guaranteed $250,000 prize pool for a buy-in of $3,200.<\/p>\n

Chris Donnachie<\/strong>, partypoker\u2019s Head of Poker Room Management<\/strong>, said: \u201cThis year\u2019s series follows the success of the first-ever online WPT500 back in May 2020, which saw as many as 4,828 entries into the tournament. We\u2019re excited to be doubling down on the event this time round, running both regular and knockout versions of the tournament.<\/p>\n
