The MILLIONS Online Main Event<\/strong> kicked off in earnest on February 21 and saw 591 players take to the partypoker felt. Only 87 of those starters punched their Day 2 tickets and nobdoy accumulated more chips than Daniel Dvoress<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Dvoress finished his flight with a tournament-leading 30,582,133 chips. There may be a lot of poker still to be played in this tournament but Dvoress has done his chances of glory no harm at all. The WPT Montreal Mike Sexton Classic<\/strong><\/a> champion is a dangerous player at the best of times, but even deadlier when wielding a huge stack.<\/p>\n

The top 10 chip counts are littered with household names. Hungarian superstars Andras Nemeth<\/strong> bagged up 27,371,860 to claim the third-place slot on the overnight chip counts. Simon Nielson<\/strong> (18,072,924), Joshua Hoesel<\/strong> (17,591,055), and Epsen Jorstad<\/strong> (15,695,668) are just three such stars.<\/p>\n

There are some incredible players among the 87 survivors. Simon Deadman<\/strong> (10,762,859) and Christian Rudolph<\/strong> (9,544,082) were fast out of the blocks, while Jamie Staples<\/strong><\/a> (8,386,939), Dan Shak<\/strong> (7,471,179), Sylvain Loosli<\/strong> (4,853,405), Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong> (4,801,761), Dzmitry Urbanovich<\/strong> (1,984,954), and Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a> (1,700,256) are also safely through.<\/p>\n

Day 1B shuffles up and deals at 19:05 GMT on February 28. Don\u2019t forget you can win your way into this second and final flight from only $0.01. Zhang Triumphs In MILLIONS Online High Roller Turbo<\/h2>\n

Michael Chi Zhang<\/strong><\/a> helped himself to the $49,983 top prize of the $2,100 MILLIONS Online High Roller Turbo<\/strong> on February 21, giving him plenty of ammunition for the rest of the series.<\/p>\n

Zhang came out on top of a 91-strong field, defeating Dario Sammartino<\/strong> heads-up to scoop the title and the lion\u2019s share of the $182,000 prize pool. Sammartino consoled himself with a $32,028 runner-up score.<\/p>\n

The top 14 finishers received a slice of the pie, including Dominik Nitsche<\/strong> (12th – $4,232), and Michael Addamo<\/strong><\/a> (10th – $5,104).<\/p>\n

Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong> was the first of the seven finalists to fall by the wayside. Elio Fox<\/strong>, Pavlo Kolinkovskiy<\/strong>, and Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> followed suit. Third place and $21,857 went to David Peters<\/strong>, which set up the one-on-one battle between Sammartino and Zhang and we know how that panned out.<\/p>\n

Nystedt Takes Down The MILLIONS Opener<\/h2>\n

The MILLIONS Opener<\/strong> smashed its $500,000 guarantee by $110,000 and Austria\u2019s Joel Nysted<\/strong> was the main beneficiary of this because he triumphed over 609-opponents to become the tournament\u2019s champion.<\/p>\n

The prize for victory weighed in at $41,853 but this was bolstered by an impressive bounty payment of $49,377, making for a total prize worth $91,230, a superb return on Nystedt\u2019s $1,100 investment.<\/p>\n

Nystedt defeated Wietse Hasper<\/strong> of the Netherlands heads-up, leaving the Dutch grinder to collect a combined prize worth $48,698.<\/p>\n

Other luminaries such as Daniel Smiljkovic<\/strong><\/a>, Sweden\u2019s Jerry Odeen<\/strong>, Andrii Novak<\/strong>, Jonathan Proudfoot<\/strong>, and Ludovic Geilich<\/strong> helped themselves to the main prize pool prize.<\/p>\n
