The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/daniel-dvoress-takes-down-the-wpt-montreal-mike-sexton-classic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>WPT Montreal Mike Sexton Classic<\/strong><\/a> champion is a dangerous player at the best of times, but even deadlier when wielding a huge stack.<\/p>\n<p>The top 10 chip counts are littered with household names. Hungarian superstars <strong>Andras Nemeth<\/strong> bagged up 27,371,860 to claim the third-place slot on the overnight chip counts. <strong>Simon Nielson<\/strong> (18,072,924), <strong>Joshua Hoesel<\/strong> (17,591,055), and <strong>Epsen Jorstad<\/strong> (15,695,668) are just three such stars.<\/p>\n<p>There are some incredible players among the 87 survivors. <strong>Simon Deadman<\/strong> (10,762,859) and <strong>Christian Rudolph<\/strong> (9,544,082) were fast out of the blocks, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jaime-staples\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jamie Staples<\/strong><\/a> (8,386,939), <strong>Dan Shak<\/strong> (7,471,179), <strong>Sylvain Loosli<\/strong> (4,853,405), <strong>Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong> (4,801,761), <strong>Dzmitry Urbanovich<\/strong> (1,984,954), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/jason-koon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Jason Koon<\/strong><\/a> (1,700,256) are also safely through.<\/p>\n<p>Day 1B shuffles up and deals at 19:05 GMT on February 28. Sammartino consoled himself with a $32,028 runner-up score.<\/p>\n<p>The top 14 finishers received a slice of the pie, including <strong>Dominik Nitsche<\/strong> (12th &#8211; $4,232), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/blog\/en\/addamo-does-it-again-wins-wpt-montreal-super-high-roller.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Michael Addamo<\/strong><\/a> (10th &#8211; $5,104).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alexandros Kolonias<\/strong> was the first of the seven finalists to fall by the wayside. <strong>Elio Fox<\/strong>, <strong>Pavlo Kolinkovskiy<\/strong>, and Team partypoker\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.partypoker.com\/en\/p\/team-partypoker\/patrick-leonard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> followed suit.
