Three more APAT<\/strong> players became WCOAP<\/strong> champions recently as the massive $109 buy-in $150,000 guaranteed Main Event looms. The 6-Max, Knockout<\/strong>, and PLO8 Championship<\/strong> saw their champions crowned, these are those winners.<\/p>\n

Jan Strazisar Takes Down 6-Max Championship<\/h2>\n

Jan Strazisar<\/strong> of Slovenia emerged as a worthy champion in the WCOAP 6-Max Championship<\/strong>. Some 603 players bought in for $55 and it was Strazisar who was the last player standing.<\/p>\n

Suzie Williamson<\/strong> was the final table\u2019s first casualty. Williamson fought her way back from being one of the shortest stacks when only 35 players remained in the field. She came unstuck early at the final table and had to make do with a $675 score.<\/p>\n

Kimmy Gauvin<\/strong> then busted in seventh for $886, the event\u2019s last three-figure prize. Celso Sirtoli<\/strong> ($1,146), and Ireland\u2019s Michael Morrissey<\/strong> ($1,702) busted to leave only three players in the hunt for the title.<\/p>\n

Strazisar shone when play was three-handed, putting both Felix Volkmaier<\/strong> and Brian Windsor<\/strong> to the test for their entire stacks on numerous occasions. Volkmaier crashed out in third which prompted Strazisar to change tactics and bamboozle Windsor. Strazisar eventually got his hands on Windsor\u2019s chips, the title of champion, a gold medal, a commemorative bracelet, and $5,252 in prize money.<\/p>\n

Paelchen Topples King to Become King of the Knockout Championship<\/h2>\n

The $75,000 guarantee on the Knockout Championship<\/strong> looked a little on the ambitious side for a $55 buy-in but a bumper crowd of 1,530 entrants ensured that sum was surpassed by $1,500.<\/p>\n

Paul Paelchen<\/strong> is the main beneficiary of the juicy prize pool because he took down the event and saw his partypoker account receive a $6,973 payout. Paelchen was heads-up against Richard King<\/strong>, who is one of the best amateur poker players the united kingdom has to offer. King ultimately had to make do with a consolation prize of $6,636 because he was slain in second-place. King had busted 15 opponents on his way to second place, which is why his bounty payment was so large.<\/p>\n

Only two other players managed to eliminate more opponents than King. Third-place finisher Lucas Bonilha<\/strong> and sixth-place finisher Tilo Kuehn<\/strong> both sent 16 foes to the showers. Top work, gentlemen!<\/p>\n

Posch Claims PLO8 Championship Title<\/h2>\n

Sebastian Posch<\/strong> potted his way to victory in the PLO8 Championship<\/strong>, an event that proved very popular as is evident by the 291 entrants who helped smash the guarantee by almost 50%.<\/p>\n

Posch\u2019s win saw a prize weighing in at $2,687 hit his partypoker accounts. Two other players saw their initial $55 investment swell into a four-figure haul.<\/p>\n

Runner-up Bukov Sergei<\/strong>, who calls Belarus home, banked $1,875 with third-place finisher Thomas Bacon<\/strong> collecting a $1,322 prize.<\/p>\n
