Finnish superstar and fully-fledged member of Team partypoker, Joni Jouhkimainen<\/strong><\/a>, helped himself to the massive $77,720 top prize of The High Roller Big Game<\/strong> on January 24.<\/p>\n

Jouhkimainen was one of 126 players who exchanged $2,600 for one million chips and the chance to lock horns with some of the best poker players in the business.<\/p>\n

Only the top 20 finishers received a slice of the $317,250 prize pool. Team partypoker\u2019s Patrick Leonard<\/strong><\/a> came close to cashing but crashed out in 29th place. Francois Billard<\/strong>, the winner of the 2019 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS North America Main Event,<\/strong> was the unfortunate soul who burst the money bubble.<\/p>\n

Team partypoker\u2019s Isaac Haxton<\/strong><\/a> was the first player to receive some prize money, namely $5,615. The likes of Christian Rudolph<\/strong>, Pascal Hartmann<\/strong><\/a>, Sami Kelopuro<\/strong>, Jans Arends<\/strong>, and Christopher Frank<\/strong> joined Haxton on the rail.<\/p>\n

Australian superstar Michael Addamo<\/strong><\/a> ran out of steam in 14th place before David Yan<\/strong> and Ali Imsirovic<\/strong> saw their tournaments come to an abrupt end. Two more players busted before the final table, Kahle Burns<\/strong> and Pavlo Kolinkovskyi<\/strong> being that duo.<\/p>\n

The High Roller Big Game Reached<\/h2>\n

Luc Greenwood<\/strong>\u2019s time at the final table was short-lived as he fell in ninth-place. Greenwood was the last player not to walk away with a five-figure haul.<\/p>\n

$10,351 and eighth place went to Brazilian sensation Brunno Botteon<\/strong> before Simon Higgins joined him on the sidelines having fallen in seventh, a finish worth $12,178. Juan Pardo Dominguez<\/strong> and Finland\u2019s Thomas Fyrqvist<\/strong> banked $14,406 and $18,003 respectively before Benjamin McMenemy<\/strong>\u2019s impressive run ended in a fourth-place finish that weighed in at $24,262.<\/p>\n

Any of the final three players would have made a worthy champion with all three being household names in the poker world. Those three became two when Steve O\u2019Dwyer<\/strong> busted in third for $34,313, which left Jouhkimainen and Adrian Mateos<\/strong><\/a> to fight it out one-on-one for the title.<\/p>\n

Jouhkimainen got the job done and padded his bankroll with the $77,720 top prize, leaving Mateos to scoop up the $50,010 runner-up prize.<\/p>\n
