\u201cBARRELSWEET\u201d<\/strong> will look back on December 28 with great fondness because it\u2019s the day they became a KO Series<\/strong><\/a> champion. BARRELSWEET was one of 283 entrants in the $1,111 buy-in event and was the last player standing when the dust settled.<\/p>\n

Victory in this high stakes battle weighed in at $55,541 with bounties included. In fact, the champion\u2019s bounty haul was almost $11,000 more than the first-place prize, showing how profitable PKO events can be.<\/p>\n

\u201cPep_Guardiola\u201d<\/strong> was the tournament\u2019s runner-up and they can\u2019t be too disappointed with that result. Second place was worth $22,479 which was boosted by $4,907 worth of bounty payments.<\/p>\n

Fifth place finisher \u201cShraFTW\u201d<\/strong> was only $33 short of a five-figure haul while \u201cIwillTr1pleU\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cJupiter Jones\u201d<\/strong> walked away with prizes in excess of $15,000.<\/p>\n

Everyone else at the nine-handed final table won more than $5,000 each.<\/p>\n

PottersBar Triumphs in the Mini One Shot<\/h2>\n

\u201cPottersBar\u201d<\/strong> is a town in Hertfordshire, England but also the name of the partypoker player who won the $111 Mini One Shot<\/strong> KO Series event.<\/p>\n

A star-studded field of 1,882 players bought into this event and PottersBar shone the brightest. Their $111 investment is now worth $25,929 thanks to securing the $12,662 top prize and accumulating $13,267 worth of bounties.<\/p>\n

A chunk of that bounty payment came from sending \u201cKarakorum2\u201d<\/strong> to the rail in second-place. Our runner-up\u2019s combined prize was $13,814, which is a pretty good return on a $111 buy-in and sets them up for more KO Series entrants in the coming week.<\/p>\n

BROOKLYN Turns $11 into $4,085<\/h2>\n

It was a day for players with capitalised aliases as \u201cBARRELSWEET\u201d won the $1,111 One Shot and \u201cBROOKLYN\u201d<\/strong> reeled in the $11 Micro One Shot<\/strong> title and the $4,085 combined prize that came with the victory.<\/p>\n

BROOKLYN outlasted 3,684 opponents on their way to victory, which is no mean feat. Their prize was made up of $2,473 from the main prize pool and an additional $1,612 from the bounty prize pool.<\/p>\n

The top four finishers enjoyed a four-figure haul. \u201cthalamus\u201d<\/strong> netted $1,427 with \u201cSBVru77\u201d<\/strong> collecting $1,775. The runner-up, \u201cdritor\u201d<\/strong> secured a $2,896 payout.<\/p>\n

KO Series Events Scheduled For December 29<\/h2>\n

December 29 sees the trio of Super Six tournament conclude. The $530 Super Six<\/strong> is down to 33 players from the 280 starters while the $55 Mini Super Six<\/strong> sees 67 players return to their seats after the 1,616 starters were whittled down on Day 1. Only 79 of the 2,702 starters in the $5.50 Micro Super Six<\/strong> remain in the hunt for that particular title.<\/p>\n

There is a trio of 6-Max<\/strong> and 7-Max Turbo<\/strong> tournaments sandwiched either side of today\u2019s new KO Series events. Those events are the $1,050 High Roller<\/strong>, $109 Mini High Roller<\/strong>, and $11 Micro High Roller<\/strong>. These events come with guaranteed prize pools of $150,000, $75,000, and $30,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
