After listening to player feedback and comments over recent weeks, we discovered that many of our customers weren’t aware that it is possible to transfer funds from their own partypoker account to a fellow partypoker player via the inter account transfer system.
By the time you have finished reading this article, you’ll be armed with the knowledge on how to transfer money to other partypoker players and why you would wish to do so.
How do I transfer money to a fellow partypoker player?
You’ll be pleased to know that the process for the inter account transfer has been made as simple as possible and can be completed in just a few clicks of your mouse.
First, log into your partypoker account and click the “My Account.” Once the screen loads, click the “My IAT” tab at the top of the screen – IAT is an acronym for Inter Account Transfer.
In this screen you’ll be able to see any previous inbound and outbound transfers that you’ve made or received plus it is here where you’ll have the option to make the transfer of funds. Click the “Transfer money” box and you’ll be shown a new screen where you can enter the player’s details of whom you want to send money to and the amount you wish to transfer.
Once the transaction is complete, both you the sender and the player receiving the money will receive email confirmation.
Are there any terms and conditions relating to the inter account transfer?
There are a couple of things you need to be aware of regarding the inter account transfer system, but don’t worry, they are simple and there to protect both parties.
The first is that only players who have verified their identities can send funds via the IAT system. If you try to send money before you have sent valid ID, you will receive an error message asking you to verify your identity.
Thankfully, verifying your ID is easy. Simply, click the “Upload documents” button and you can send the required documentation to our customer support team. Once verified, you’ll be able to transfer money whenever you want to.
The second is that the minimum transfer amount is $1 and the third that whoever sends the money must leave at least $0.01 in their account otherwise the transaction fails.

Why would I want to send funds to another player?
You may be wondering why on Earth you’d want to send funds to another partypoker player. Here are a few examples of putting the inter account transfer system to good use:
- You may have a friend or family member who is new to partypoker and wants to play for real money but doesn’t want to make a deposit into their account until they’ve put the software through its paces.
- You may have read our “How to make online poker a more social experience” article at the partypoker blog, have made a last longer bet with a friend and now need to receive your winnings or send funds to that friend.
- You may know someone who wants to play in a cash game or tournament but doesn’t have access to funds at the time so you transfer to them as a loan.
- Someone you know may be wanting to buy into one of the live events at Dusk Till Dawn via their partypoker account but they don’t have a large enough balance so you make up the shortfall for them.
There are dozens of reasons why you may want to send or receive funds from another partypoker player and thanks to the streamlined inter account transfer process you can do so with relative ease.
