WSOP SATELLITE TOURNAMENT PROMOTION – Terms and Conditions

  1. By taking part in one of the PartyPoker.com (“PartyPoker”) Multi-Table Qualifying Tournaments (“MTT Qualifiers”) or Single Table Qualifying Tournaments (the “STT Qualifiers”) (collectively the “Tournaments”) you could win yourself a place at the World Series of Poker 2008 at the Rio Hotel & Casino which is scheduled to be held in Las Vegas NV, USA from July 3 to July 16, 2008 (the “Event”).
  2. The Event has a projected first prize of ten million United States Dollars (US $10,000,000) and will take place between those dates indicated above. The Event is owned and staged by Harrah's and the “World Series of Poker” and “WSOP” are registered trade marks of Harrah's. No license, affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, is claimed, or should be inferred from the use of these trademarks here. PartyGaming is not affiliated, licensed, by, or otherwise affiliated with Harrah's, in any way.
  3. You agree that by taking part in the Tournaments you will be bound by these Terms and Conditions, our Terms and Conditions of Use as well as our Standard Poker Tournament Rules (collectively the “Rules”).
  4. To be eligible to take part in the Tournaments and Final you must be:
    1. twenty-one (21) years of age or older, or the legal age of majority in your home country, state or province;
    2. not be resident in a Restricted Territory; and
    3. have downloaded the PartyPoker Software to your computer; and
    4. have successfully completed registration on the Gaming Service and opened a Real Money Player Account (“Player Account”)
    (a “Qualifying Player”)
  5. In order to open a “Real Money Player Account” players must have registered on the Gaming Service to open an account and deposited a minimum of twenty-five United States Dollars (US $25.00).
  6. The “Promotion Period” shall mean the period from 00:01hr ET on 18 January 2008 until 23:59 hr ET on 8th June.
  7. The “MTT Qualifiers” shall singularly and collectively mean any of the following tournaments:
    1. US$1 WSOP Satellite Sub Qualifier Speed Rebuy (the “$1 MTT Sub-Qualifier”) http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_schedule.html#a. Entry to the $1 MTT Sub-Qualifier is on a “first come, first served” basis by way of direct-buy in. The $1MTT Sub-Qualifier is a multi-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em and will take place at PartyPoker.com daily at 00:30, 03:30, 07:25, 09:25, 14:25, 17:25, 19:25 and 22:55 hr ET throughout the Promotion Period;
    2. US$3 WSOP Satellite Sub-Qualifier Rebuy (the “$3 MTT Sub-Qualifier”). http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_schedule.html#b. Entry to the $3 MTT Sub-Qualifier is on a “first come, first served” basis by way of direct-buy in. The $3 MTT Sub-Qualifier is a multi-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em and will take place at PartyPoker.com daily throughout the Promotion Period at 02:30, 06:15, 10:25, 12:25, 14:55,, 15:55, 18:55 and 20:55 hr ET; and
    3. US$7 WSOP Satellite Sub-Qualifier Rebuy (the “$7 MTT Sub-Qualifier”). http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_schedule.html#c. Entry to the $7 MTT Sub-Qualifier is on a “first come, first served” basis by way of direct-buy in. The $7 MTT Sub-Qualifier is a multi-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em and will take place at PartyPoker.com daily throughout the Promotion Period at 05:25, 08:25, 11:25, 13:25 (except Sunday), 16:25, 16:55 and 20:25 hr ET.
  8. The “STT Qualifiers” shall singularly and collectively mean any of the following tournaments:
    1. US$2 WSOP STT Sub-Qualifier (the “$2 STT Sub-Qualifier”) http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_structure.html. Entry to the $2 STT Sub-Qualifier is on a “first come, first served” basis by way of direct-buy in. The $2 STT Sub-Qualifier is an on-demand single-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em and will take place at PartyPoker.com daily throughout the Promotion Period.
    2. US$14 WSOP STT Qualifier (the “$14 STT Qualifier”). http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_structure.html. Entry to the $14 STT Qualifier is open to those Qualifying Players who have finished in first or second place in the $2 STT Sub-Qualifier. The $14 STT Sub-Qualifier is an on-demand single-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em and will take place at PartyPoker.com daily throughout the Promotion Period.
    3. The first ranked Qualifying Player in each $2 STT Sub-Qualifier shall receive an entry to the $14 STT Qualifier. Each second-ranked Qualifying Player in the $2 STT Sub-Qualifiers shall receive a re-entry into a $2 STT Sub-Qualifier.
  9. An entry into the Satellite Qualifier, as defined below shall be awarded for:
    1. every US$64 in the prize pool of the $1 MTT Sub-Qualifier;
    2. every US$64 in the prize pool of the $3 MTT Sub-Qualifier;
    3. every ten players participating in the $7 MTT Sub-Qualifier; and
    4. the first ranked Qualifying Player in each $14 STT Qualifier.
  10. The “Satellite Qualifier” shall mean the US$64 WSOP Satellite Qualifier. http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/08_wsop_schedule.html#d. The Satellite Tournament Qualifier is a multi-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em. Entry to the Satellite Tournament Qualifier is determined in Clause 10 above, and it will take place at PartyPoker.com throughout the Promotion Period at 13:25 hr ET every Sunday, and 15:25 and 18:25 hr ET daily except Sunday.
  11. An entry into the Satellite Tournament shall be awarded for every ten players who participate in the Satellite Qualifier.
  12. The “Satellite Tournament” shall mean the WSOP Satellite $540 + $40. The Satellite Tournament is a multi-table tournament of NL Texas Hold'em. Entry to the Satellite Tournament is determined in Clause 12 above, and it will take place at PartyPoker.com on Fridays, weekly throughout the Promotion Period at 18:00 hr ET every Friday and at 15:25 hr ET every Sunday.
  13. Qualifying Players who are eligible to participate in a Tournament shall be automatically registered to take part in the next available relevant Tournament, as determined by us in our sole discretion.
  14. One WSOP Prize Package (as defined below) shall be awarded for every twenty-five players who participate in the Satellite Tournament (each such player being a “Winner”). Notwithstanding the above, a minimum of at least two WSOP Prize Packages shall be awarded.
  15. The “Prize” shall mean a “WSOP Prize Package” which is a prize package worth thirteen thousand five hundred United States Dollars (US $13,500) and which shall include the following elements:
    1. the “buy-in” for the Event worth ten thousand US dollars ($10,000);
    2. seven (7) nights' accommodation between July 2, 2008 and July 9, 2008 at the Event worth one thousand five hundred United States Dollars (US$1,500);
    3. transfer service from the hotel to the venue; and
    4. spending money of two thousand United States dollars ($2,000) (“Spending Money”)
  16. PLEASE NOTE: We may require Winners to register for the Event themselves. In such circumstances, we will credit Winners' Player Accounts with the amount for the “buy-in” referred to above and the Winner will be required to register for the Event themselves.
  17. You may enter the Tournaments as many times as you wish however you may only win a maximum of one (1) WSOP Prize Package and you will not be refunded in full or in part for any additional WSOP Prize Package that you win.
  18. No cash alternative is available for the Prize in whole or in part and regardless of how long the Winner remains in the Event. Winners must not sell or transfer their WSOP Prize Package to any third party and winners are responsible for the payment of any applicable tax, if any, due on winning the Prize, and/or any prize money won by participating in the Event.
  19. Winners may be required to wear PartyPoker branded clothing for the duration of the Event. In addition, we may require players to change clothing that bears any other gaming product or service branding and we reserve the right from time to time during the Event to specify what branding players shall be entitled to wear.
  20. Spending Money will be paid directly into Real Money Player Accounts.
  21. Valid photo identification and proof of age will be required to claim the Prize. Any winner whose documentation does not adhere or conform to these requirements, or who it is discovered is not a Qualifying Player will not be able to take up their Prizes.
  22. If a non-Qualifying Player takes part in the Promotion we reserve, without prejudice to any other rights under the Rules, to seek the return of any Prize from that player's Real Money Player Account.
  23. Officers, directors, employees, consultants or agents of PartyGaming or its group or one of its subsidiaries, parent or associated companies (its “Group”), or suppliers or vendors (including their advertising, printing and publicity agencies) are not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account (“Unauthorised Persons”). Relatives of Unauthorised Persons are also not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account. For the purposes of the Rules the term “Relative” shall include, but not be limited to, a spouse, partner, child or sibling of an Unauthorised Person. For the avoidance of doubt Unauthorised Persons and Relatives cannot be Qualifying Players.
  24. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Promotion, or violates the Rules.
  25. Our Group may use the information that you provide during the Promotion or Real Money Player Account registration process to provide you with information about our products and services. You must inform us if you do not wish to receive such information by emailing privacy@partyaccount.com.
  26. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate this Promotion, or any aspect of it, at any time and without prior notice. We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions and the Rules and will notify you of these changes by posting the modified terms on this page. We recommend you revisit these Terms and Conditions regularly, and by your continued use of the Website you accept any such modified terms.
  27. Any dispute or situation not covered by the Rules will be resolved by our management in a manner it deems to be the fairest to all concerned, and that decision shall be final and/or binding on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.
  28. If the Promotion can not be executed as planned, including any problems or technical malfunction beyond our control, we shall incur no liability and no Prize will be awarded.
  29. The “Gaming Service” means any gaming website forming part of the gaming services offered by PartyGaming and including PartyPoker.com, PartyBingo.com, PartyBets.com, PartyCasino.com and PartyGammon.com or such other website as may be offered on the service from time-to-time.
  30. By participating in the Tournament, you agree to sign, if asked, a release form to allow PartyPoker and its group to use your name, photograph and relevant personal information for all advertising and publicity purposes throughout the world without further compensation.
  31. PartyPoker reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of this promotion, the Tournament or violates these Rules.
  32. If the Rules are translated into a language other than English, then the English version of the Rules shall prevail where there is any inconsistency.
  33. “Restricted Territory ” shall mean those territories from time to time, from which we restrict Players from opening a Real Money Account.
