Party Poker “Rio Carnival” Promotion – Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”)

  1. You agree that by taking part in the “PartyPoker” “Rio Carnival” promotion (the “Promotion”), that you will be bound by these Terms as well as our Terms and Conditions of Use (collectively the “Rules”).
  2. To be eligible to take part in the Promotion you must:
    • be eighteen (18) years of age or older or the legal age of majority in your home country, state or province;
    • have successfully completed registration on the Gaming Service and opened a Real Money Player Account;
    • and must not be resident in a Restricted Territory.
      (any player who meets this criteria shall be deemed a “Qualifying Player”)
  3. In order to open a “Real Money Player Account” players must have registered on the Gaming Service to open an account and deposited a minimum of twenty-five United States Dollars (US $25.00).
  4. Details of the time periods between which the Promotion runs, how to participate in the Promotion along with details of any bonuses or prizes (if applicable) (collectively “Prizes”) can be found at http://www.partypoker.com/news/items/rio_carnival.html.
  5. Prizes (if awarded) will be paid into the winner’s Real Money Player Accounts within forty-eight (48) hours of the end of the Promotion.
  6. Where it is a requirement of any Promotion that a certain number of PartyPoints be accrued, then unless otherwise expressly indicated, the reference to "PartyPoints" shall mean standard PartyPoints accrued during the applicable Promotion and during the relevant Promotion period only. Unless otherwise indicated, ‘Bonus’ PartyPoints, PartyPoints accrued through "topping" or which have been redeemed or used in any way outside of the relevant Promotion will not be counted towards such requirement and once PartyPoints have been redeemed in connection with a Promotion they may not then be reclaimed.
  7. No cash prize is offered as part of any of the qualifying freeroll tournaments that form part of this Promotion, and all freeroll invitations shall expire at the end of the Promotion Period.
  8. If a non-Qualifying Player takes part in the Promotion we reserve, without prejudice to any other rights under the Rules, to seek the return of any Prize from that player’s Real Money Player Account.
  9. Officers, directors, employees, consultants or agents of PartyGaming or its group or one of its subsidiaries, parent or associated companies (its “Group”), or suppliers or vendors (including their advertising, printing and publicity agencies) are not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account (“Unauthorised Persons”).    Relatives of Unauthorised Persons are also not permitted to open a Real Money Player Account.  For the purposes of the Rules the term “Relative” shall include, but not be limited to, a spouse, partner, child or sibling of an Unauthorised Person.  For the avoidance of doubt Unauthorised Persons and Relatives cannot be Qualifying Players.
  10. We reserve the right at our sole discretion to disqualify any individual that tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process, the operation of the Promotion, or violates the Rules.
  11. Our Group may use the information that you provide during the Promotion or Real Money Player Account registration process to provide you with information about our products and services. You must inform us if you do not wish to receive such information by emailing privacy@partyaccount.com.
  12. We reserve the right to alter, amend or terminate this Promotion, or any aspect of it, at any time and without prior notice.  We may make changes to these Terms and Conditions and the Rules and will notify you of these changes by posting the modified terms on this page.  We recommend you revisit these Terms and Conditions regularly, and by your continued use of the Website you accept any such modified terms.
  13. Any dispute or situation not covered by the Rules will be resolved by our management in a manner it deems to be the fairest to all concerned, and that decision shall be final and/or binding on all entrants.  No correspondence will be entered into.
  14. If the Promotion can not be executed as planned, including any problems or technical malfunction beyond our control, we shall incur no liability and no Prize will be awarded.
  15. The “Gaming Service” means any gaming website forming part of the gaming services offered by PartyGaming and including PartyPoker.com, PartyBingo.com, PartyBets.com, PartyCasino.com and PartyGammon.com or such other website as may be offered on the service from time-to-time.
  16. If the Rules are translated into a language other than English, then the English version of the Rules shall prevail where there is an inconsistency.
