The PGA EuroPro Tour
PartyPoker.com is proud to be associated with The PGA EuroPro Tour, the developmental tour that gives young professionals the opportunity to find out if they’re up to the challenge of playing at the highest level on some of Europe’s best courses.
The tour has become the top breeding ground for professional golfers. Over 50 players have graduated from the tour and found success on the European Tour. Alumnae include Ross Fisher, the 2008 European Open winner who came fifth in the 2009 US Open; Marc Warren, the 2007 Johnnie Walker Championship winner who paired up with Colin Montgomerie to win the World Cup the same year; and Richard Finch, the 2008 Irish Open champion.
Players will compete for over €1 million in prize money in 2009, with the top five in the Order of Merit earning their Challenge Tour cards for 2010. The body of the tour is made up of 14 events, culminating in the top 50 battling it out in the Tour Championship finale.
The highlights of each tournament are broadcast in a two-hour show on Sky Sports, and reach over 50 countries through channels such as SuperSport, The Golf Channel and ESPN Star.
With more than 400 members representing over 15 countries, the EuroPro Tour continues to attract young golfers whose burning ambition is to make it to the top of the sport.
