Playing For Real Money

At PartyPoker.com, you can either play for play money or real money.

Our play-money tables are open to you as soon as you have downloaded our software and created an account. You don't need to make a deposit to sit down at these tables as we'll give you a number of play-money chips to use.

Play-money chips have no actual monetary value and can be used in place of actual currency only on our play-money tables. You cannot wager any real money on play-money tables and, subsequently, cannot win any real money here. You can only win (or lose) play-money chips.

Play-money tables are a great place for beginners to hone their skills and become relaxed playing what can initially seem to be a daunting game. Read through the New To The Game features of our How To Play section and put into practise what you pick up. As no actual cash is at stake you can play safe in the knowledge won't lose any real money.

But you'll be content doing that for so long…

Playing for, and winning, real money is what poker is all about. There's cash to be won at every level, from a couple of bucks playing micro-limit cash games to the massive fortunes on offer to those who have the skills to take down world-famous tournaments like the WSOP. The amounts may vary hugely but don't be mistaken, the thrill is always there.
